of course, according to broadsheet, if you're a man who takes time to explore his feelings, you're a Listless Lad, deserving nothing less than a sexual boycott.

The moview has been out, what, 48 hours? Perhaps a notice that you are giving away a major plot point is in order?
Other than that, it's the same thing as Dan Quayle getting upset with Murphy Brown's single momhood...15 years later, and they still don't understand the difference between fiction and reality.

It's movie
The extreme conservative train of thought goes as such: the new Superman explores his feelings; therefore Superman is emasculated; therefore Superman is gay.
Someone failed their intro logic class. You have to fit the definition first. First off, straighten up the facts. Superman went to go deal with leftover debris from Krypton, and some stuff having to do with the planet's explosion.
Men's feelings don't lead to emasculation, unless the men in a whole lot of WWII war movies are emasculated (The Battle for the Bulge, Bomber COmmand, Big Red One, Saving Private Ryan, etc.), and I think anyone calling John Wayne, Dana Andrews, gregory Peck, etc emasculated is in serious delusion. Feelings have to be channeled into positive action (from Rambo to Walking Tall, Death Wish to Dirty Harry, all of those charcters had feelings they channeled into "positive", or at least successful, action).
Second, where did all of the "slut and gay" talk come from, and whose over-sexualizing Superman this way? Dingy woman is titallating herself, not critiquing a movie. She probably gets off on the notion that Lois is a slut. Criticizing fictional characters allows her to fantasize and discuss these subjects in the only way allowed by her own narrow thought process.
If your kid takes his or her role models from cartoons, you have bigger problems than Hollywood.
Burgundy versus red? Who cares?
The bottom line is that people who psycho out over fiction deserve to be treated like the crazies they are. Reason 6071 why I don't watch "Scarborough COuntry".

I don't think anyone should be shocked by such crap coming out of the right. They've already told us, many, many times that they hate gay people and think of them alternately as a threat or a joke. Yet they see Queers everywhere! The lot of 'em aren't beyond the fart, fag and snot jokes of middle school.
I haven't seen the movie either but I've read two reviews, it's pretty clear that the sickly boy is the offspring of 'the man of steel'. That's what passes for a poignant 'twist' in a mainstream movie.

So she's still making the rounds of the yak shows, eh? Sheesh. I recall watching her on some episodes of Politically Incorrect, years ago, and thinking - Pity the man who's saddled with this broad for a lifetime.
Even the wing-nuts turned on her over something or other, a few months back. But I don't remember the details, and I couldn't be bothered to find out now.

Your points are well-taken. I find this all very amusing. Do these people remind you of the psychotically sex-obsessed Victorians who covered up the piano legs and separated the male authors from the female authors on the bookshelves? I had an aunt once (God rest her deeply neurotic soul) who questioned her son-in-law's masculinity because when his wife bought him flowers for his birthday he ACCEPTED THEM!!!

Going into Tucker Carlson's League
Scarborough Country and Debbie Schlussel are all just trying to get what little attention they have left. MSNBC is in 3rd place for good reason since the programming (with a possible exception of Ken Olbermann) just stinks overall compared to CNN and they just suck at propaganda compared to FOX. Debbie is just another right winger trying to get ratings for her show by making an agenda out of a movie everyone is possibly going to see. No one cares and people are going to see it whether they like it or not. I know I'm going to see it and I'm excited. So what if Superman is gay and Lois is a slut? At least they are decent people and will be remembered for lifetimes and generations to come. Unlike two forgetables like Scarborough and Debbie.

Tired old double standard
Superman and Lois Lane are not married. Superman and Lois Lane have sex and create a baby. If that makes Lois Lane a slut, doesn't it make Superman one, too? sheesh. I can't believe people still trumpet this double standard. (Hey conservatives, at least she didn't have an abortion.)

No, Lois Lane is not a "slut" - by the way, "slut" is such an ugly word. Only an ugly person would see an independent thinking, confident, career minded woman and have the word, "slut" come to mind. Can you say, "jealous"?
Superman - man of steel, in great shape, well groomed, polite, awesome body, over compensating by living his life for the good of mankind, putting others needs before his own - Yes, of course he's gay.

I'm a single mom who refuses to get married and spends a good chunk of time trekking around the world while someone else tucks in my kid. And I don't feel guilty about it.
I haven't won a pulitzer prize or ridden on a rocket ship- but pinch test says that I am a real girl, not fiction. So yay for Lois Lane and for finally getting a mom character in the movies who isn't you're standard guilt ridden mess of retention.

I'm pretty sure that word for a male that behaves in the ways attributed to a slut is "male".

Jumping to Conclusions
Why does having Superman's baby make Lois Lane a slut? It doesn't even indicate that they had sex.
It's a miracle that every woman from Smallville to Metropolis doesn't have a super-bastard, assuming that nocturnal emmisions are as natural for Kryptonians as they are for humans.
Lois is the victim here.
