Tracy Clark-Flory points toward the larger significance of the issue she addresses, thus elevating her post above the lazy, trivial Traister-esque dreck that clutters Broadsheet. If Clark-Flory had gone on to suggest even a preliminary answer the question she poses, this would have been the kind of post that would keep our household subscribing to Salon.
