it's not waht is high status now it is what status was during the time our genetic heritage was formed
and until the last few hundred, or MAYBE few thousand, (in some places) years the highest status males WERE the strongest and they were young because everyone got injured or died quick

there have been societies where the male authority was the woman's brother and the maybe fathers role was llimited
(and women were (relatively)free to do as they liked), that way the males can invest in children who they can be sure are genetically linked to them. I suspect though that these societies may have trouble getting maximum focused effort out of the men because the men are dividing their attention and resources between the kids they are responsible for and the woman (and her kids) that they have to cater to in some way if they want sex.

This is fun
Well, as usual I've managed to stir a hornets nest. I might be old but I'm not elderly. I've run a few marathons, and I'm considering getting into half iron-man competitions. And if my wife didn't keep me fully occupied I'd probably screw a couple of those young honeys in their 40's.
As for the muslim solution, I didn't recommend it, and I sure as well would not want my daughters to live ins such a society. BTW, the fundamentalists in this country would love such a solution.
As for sociobiology, it's offensive to those who believe that humans are born as tabula rasa, and that society is resposnible for the formation of human behavior. The bolsheviks claimed to believe the same thing, but actually operated an incredible survival of the fittest society. But fit for what? Not for competition with a more free society.
I've known quite a few men who married very young women and got them with child. Wealth and power may not be handsome. but they appear to be very attractive. And since those who leave behind the most progeny are winners, they are winners.
But I think it's time to stir up a hornets nest in some other area. See you around.

selective phrasing
"three girls who between them had slept with nine players on the team."
Talk about obvious manipulation for a biased purpose - all that really says is that, on average, each of three girls slept with 3 different team members. One girl had sex with three guys. Another girl had sex with 3 differen guys. Ditto the third girl.
How on earth is that 'bad'? Their phrasing makes it sound like the girls are some kind of nymphos when actually they probably each only had a few partners.
Would it be better for all three girls to have had sex with the same three guys?
Or, let's say one girl had sex with 5 guys, the other two girls had sex with two each. Or one girl with 7 guys, two girls with one each. Any way you slice it, there is no excessive sex overall for the group of three girls.
It's too bad that we can't get rid of all men - it is they who are the constant plague on life and humanity. War -violence -rape -murder -crime -aggression -assault, etc. No wonder so many major religions (with the tenets written by men) blame women for everything - it's nothing but MISDIRECTION & SHIFTING BLAME FROM WHERE IT BELONGS - ON MEN.
All women should have either a stun gun or a revolver. If male criminals thought that their 'helpless victim' was probably packing at least a stun gun, they would attack women a lot less.

granted it won't solve the problem in your lifetime, and you can't literally get rid of all men, at least not yet, but once you get to a 70, or 80, or 90 percent female population you won't really have to worry much, especailly when combined with modern technology.

One Last Thing
Donald Trumps aside, it's a myth that women routinely marry much older men. I'm also trying to figure out why people are so bent on chalking up a woman's sexual attraction for a young hot male bod to status seeking. I'm always scrtaching my head at how people will perform all inds of mental gymnastics in order to avoid admitting that women are sexual.

Women may be sexual but they are a lot less sexual, at least a lot less indiscriminatly sexual than men
It's a little bizarrre that you could have missed this but there are lots of fat, ugly, poor socially inept men who can't get ANYONE to sleep with them whereas a fat, ungly, socially inept woman can always get someone, if she's willing to lower her standards enough (which most are not). Do you think this confusion of yours about the basic facts of life is extremely widespread? It makes it kind of tough to have a meaningfull discussion. It's sort of like trying to discuss middle eastern politics with someone who claims to believe that the evidence for WMDs in Iraq was utterly compelling.

either/or, can't have both
Here are some facts: Many women enjoy sex. Some have sex with many partners. This behavior is not...morally wrong.
And here's another idea: How about instead of teaching kids that sex is about racking up numbers, scoring trophy partners or evading dangerous women who could end your sports season with a single sentence, we start to teach men and women that sex can be fun and exciting, and maybe even about respect and affection and attraction, rather than domination and manipulation and recrimination.
