Does this mean any woman not pregnant is committing a sin? Does menstration = murder? ;-) Sorry, but this made me lol.
And to carry it to the male side of the extreme: every masturbatory emission is murder. The intriguing difference, of course, is that the male of this species has control over his emission, whereas the female does not.
The Catholics almost have this stance. It is considered wasteful. It is based on something in the bible about wasting seed.
I just remembered something from science class. I seem to recall that sperm only last so long in testicles and then they are absorbed back into the body. The body recycles sperm like this constantly. I think males produce billions of sperm a day. When the body recycles sperm is it committing genocide? I am so confused. ;-)
Cue the music.....now everyone sing "Every sperm is sacred, every sperm is good/Every sperm is needed, in your neighborhood"....
I'm really going to hate telling my (male) friend who is incredulous that I can live with masturbating once or twice a month (he needs "release" a bit more often) that he's one step away from being in the same moral circle as a woman with an unplanned pregnancy!
