    Mail order "abuse"?

I have never heard such narrow-minded bigotry in all my life, as I have in the responses to this article.

I am one of those "mail-order" husbands. I met my Philippine wife through a column and we have been happily married for 13 years. We have two beautiful children, live in a nice suburban neighborhood and are both professionals. Neither she or I are a "commodity". Is every man who meets a lady through the Washington Post Personals, eHarmony.com or Match.com "exploiting" women and treating them like "commodities"? Why is meeting through a foreign introduction service any different? I am insulted by the innuendoes and stereotypes that are spewed by people who know *nothing* about the men and women who meet thruogh these methods. YOU are the ones who need to grow up and get a life.
