    No, I wasn't upset.

    I did sense a tone that we were supposed to feel sympathy for the guy you know.

    And, in fact, I do. But not for the eventul abandonment. I think we all know what it feels like to be lonely. It does hurt. And we've all had moments when we thought we'd be alone forever. And we've all been rejected and hurt. And it does hurt. It's real. I have sympathy for that, we all do 'cause we've all been there.

    I just meant that his hurt at her treating him like a commodity is unfounded because he treated her like a commodity first. It's sorta a sad karma thing.

    I think being alone is very sad and I wish everyone in this world had love, compantionship, lust, sex, help, respect, etc. But the path to that blissful state is not through a mail order mate.
