Have a Paris Hilton holiday!

Forget Santa. The infamous heiress makes for much hotter lawn decorations.

Huh?

What's up with all the slut references? I'm sorry, but if this is supposed to be a feminist blog putting down Paris Hilton for her reputation as a "skank" just seems...odd.

I'll agree that Paris is indeed cheap but not because she's "easy"-- it's because she's superficial and vapid. I can't stand her because she's famous for being famous without any real personal accomplishments to stand on, but it has nothing to do with how often or with whom she has sex.

One more thing...

It's especially odd that you make such big deal out of Paris Hilton's reputation having frequent pre-marital right after a post about women getting murdered in Iraq for having sex before marriage.

i second that

You beat me to the punch, heddache.

America's favorite skank? She gets around?

Okay, I hate Paris Hilton and what she represents in our declining culture as much as some other people do, but I would never call her a skank cause she likes to sleep with good looking guys.

She is young and single and doing what most other women are doing at her age.

So are you calling your own readership skanks? Is George Clooney a skank too?

Trying to be funny by putting a woman down because she likes boys and video cameras is not funny!

So funny I forgot to laugh.

"Of course, Hilton has one distinct advantage over both of Christmas' bearded men: She may not have been around as long -- but she sure has gotten around more."

Do feminists take cheap shots at women for being promiscuous now, too?

yay!

Right on people!

This remind me of my fun "if Paris Hilton is a whore then we are all whores" argument I had with my father over Christmas dinner last year. I used myself and my childhood friend who was there too as prime examples and informed him that there could very well be video footage of either of US floating around the internet. My friend (and her parents) weren't as dazzled by my arguement, but I think it was brilliant.

I note that I had never, ever, heard my father use that word before and it shocked me. Why is it okay to say these things about Paris Hilton?

the claw is out

When will the day come when a young, sexually active woman won't be put down because she has had more lovers than the average person? Why is this a flaw? To my knowledge none of her lovers have complained and since Paris Hilton apparently isn't in the habit of breaking up any marriages or leaving children fatherless, then who is to question her morals?

Even more sad when the put-down is by another woman.

Live and let live, and this is basically not about Ms Hilton but about all the rest of us who want to enjoy the freedoms of a free world (while it lasts).

Scarlet Letters for Everyone?

Sarah, please! While I am no fan of Ms. Hilton, I'm astounded to see Broadsheet take a swipe at a woman for "getting around" more than Santa Claus or Jesus Christ. She clearly has no self-respect and neither has a society that grants her fame. But I ask you, is Broadsheet going to bash everyone who "gets around", or just the women?

What a bitter disappointment in such a promising forum.

but she IS a skank

it's not a converse statement:

skanks are sexually promiscious,

but every experienced woman is not a skank

but paris has purposfully taken tacky display and skankinees to a new high.

She is the first to be both multi-billionaire and trailer trash.
