Within just the past few days, we've witnessed an increasingly hostile attitude toward women here at salon.com. There was a lead article about life-size, "anatomically correct" female dolls being purchased and used as sex slaves. Then the male condom article which was so poorly offered that I wasn't even tempted to read it. And now we have featured a "cat fight" between two female columnists, "Mary-Hate and Ashley" and "Celebrity chef burns women," in addition to being told that you like to use the derogatory term "broads" for women as well as the puerile "chick". I know Blumenthal was a hard act to follow, but did you have to deteriorate so far so fast? Next renewal cycle, I'm outta here.
