"I am a progressive democrat. As a physician, I am pro-life. I also support the 2nd amendment, and own a gun. The win in MS cannot just be written off because the victoris pro-life and "pro-gun". It is significant in the sense that this was in a ruby-red district."
Now, I am also a progressive democrat. I am pro-abortion, not pro-choice. I am opposed to gun rights without gun responsibility. You and I disagree on some important issues.
As such, I am happy to see you saying that you are a progressive democrat. I am too. We agree on many things, I am sure, and disagree on some. Hey, my wife and I disagree on some issues.
So, hola, brother.
"Good luck to all you democrats who vote for this guy. We are doomed!"
Yeah, they was saying that in MS-01 yesterday. Except, the Repukeliscum lost.
Obama's looking good today. Hillary .... blub-blub-blub.
"Well, if Hillary Clinton is not the nominee, then I and my group are changing to Independents and voting for John McCain. I am sick of these men stealing the nomination away from Hillary Clinton."
Well, I've got a little dog. If you don't vote for Hillary, I'm gonna shoot this little dog. I'll get little dog brains all over my kitchen, and IT WILL ALL BE YOUR FAULT, YOU BAD BAD MEN.
"In fact, looking at state by state polling (the national poll of McBush vs Obama is meaningless) you will see that if you ad the electoral votes from states Obama is winning in and add them up, and do the same for McBush, McBush wins. Do the same thing for Hillary vs McBush and she wins handily."
This is all just enormous crap. Hillary has just as many problems as Obama. Actually, hers are worse. She will not win PA. In fact, if you look carefully at what she won in PA, she won the counties that the Repukeliscum will win in the GE. She lost in the places that Dems need to win. Obama did well in PA. He won the Dem places going away. He will build on his winning strategy in the fall. He will win PA, and OH. OH has a Dem SoS, and this will turn the tide.
Whine, whine, whine.
Progressive organizations get on the bus. Others whine, and are left under the bus.
You can get with the program, or be looking at tire tracks.
NARAL got with the program. I'm signing up with them today.
illustrated exactly what it is that I like about this guy.
It was clear, calm, and to the point. It directly addressed the issue, without hysteria. It called out Bush, but in a reasoned tone.
He'll be a very good president.
"And let me emphasize once again: that Nazi-sympathizing Senator was a Republican."
Absolutely correct. Probably Mr. Nazi Appeaser, Robert Taft.
If the Republicans of the 1930s were allowed to have their way, Hitler would now be entering his 98 th year, well-respected as the Fuhrer of a United Europe. The Republicans of that day were ADAMENTLY opposed to stopping Hitler.
The Republican Party is filled with Nazi sympathisers, then and now.
except statements of ENORMOUS SUPPORT for Obama.
This is a huge boost for gays. I hope that we democrats do NOT end up rueing this day. In 2004, this broke our back. I hope that it does not in 2008.
"A) I don't know a single person who blamed 2004 on homosexuals, or politics regarding homosexuals or civil union"
Well, I believe that gay marriage was a component of our loss in 2004.
The exit interviews were terribly flawed. THey did not ask questions in a sensible way.
OH, in 2004, was in a depression. The state was bleeding jobs. Why did the Repukeliscum win?
The answer is simple. They upped their turnout. The Repukeliscum whipped up the credulous wackos by the spectre of gay marriage, and brought out huge turnout. This is what did it for them. All that gay marriage had to do was up turnout by 2-3 % and that did it for OH.
That's what I believe, that it upped turnout at a small level, and that was enough. I heard MANY interviews of Christian conservatives saying things like that. Even more troubling, gay marriage is NOT approved of by conservative blacks or conservative hispanics, who are in the Democratic coalition for economic reasons. If gay marriage gets them to leave the big Democratic tent, this would be a disaster. We cannot trade 20-25 % of conservative blacks and hispanics for 3 % of the gay vote.
The Repukeliscum today are not just the Party of Stupid. They are the Party of Contra-Truth. For the Repukeliscum, the only truth is a statement that 1) supports "conservatism" whatever that is and 2) contradicts truth.
Take that lightweight piece of crap Jonah Goldberg. He wrote an entire book demonstrating that liberals are fascists. This is a perfect example of my Party of Contra-Truth. The entire book is a tissue of lies, the thesis is counter-factual, and it "supports" conservative notions.
Kevin James is a perfect conservative. He knows nothing, and he aggressively promotes that lack of knowledge as the only important thing. Remember, knowing something may get in the way of your certainty about reality.
The problem of course is that America is a land in which 1) we venerate the process of learning and 2) despise the results of learning. You are encouraged to learn things, but despised if you attempt to demonstrate that your knowledge is useful.
or, put another way, the McSenile plan for winning in Iraq.
McSenile and his "where am I at this week" tour of potential retirement homes is amazing. Here we have a guy who doesn't know from one minute to the next what he actually believes in, and who changes his "beliefs" to fit the audience that he is talking to.
Grampa McSenile should get his principles straight, before he has the audacity to actually address Obama, who is an honorable man unused to talking to knaves, thieves and perverts, today's Repukeliscum Party.
