I have not had the "bitch" complaint

"Be honest: has anyone in the US at this point not had this exact same conversation? I, too, find myself constantly defending Clinton against an unending stream of mindlessly and appallingly sexist attacks."

I have never, not once, not ever, heard a person call Hillary a bitch. Maybe it's because of my age (56) or my circle (rational people of about my age), but no one, not a single person, has used the bitch word.

They are concerned about her electability, which is a serious problem. They are concerned with her connections to Bill, which are a total turn-off to most Democrats that I know. The "luster" of the Clinton years is pretty tarnished right now, since he sold the Democratic Party down the river to get re-elected. That's what most people are concerned about.

And what's amazing is that Hillary keeps coming up with Clinton program retreads. She's not even TRYING or PRETENDING to be independent anymore. Yesterday, she proposed re-invigorating the 1000 new cops on the street. I never liked that program anyway, since those cops are giving out speeding tickets to me. But it's another re-tread Clinton program.

I don't want 4 more years of Bush. I also don't want 4 more years of Bill.

Well, I DON'T want 4 more years of Bill

Because that's what Hillary offers. Time and time and time again, it's "remember how GREAT it was during the 1990s". That's what she offers. She has nothing of her own to offer. She is barely accomplished. She is where she is due to Bill.

And I am FUCKING sick of Bill, his arrogance, his TRIANGULATION (which of course means getting republicans on board of your programs by simply adopting them and cutting the Democratic ideas loose).

Hillary has never addressed this. She yesterday, made the proposal to re-invigorate the Cops on the Street program. It was like a kick to the stomach. It was a BLATANT attempt to resurrect the dead corpse of Clintonism and Clinton ideas.

Clinton was not much of a president. His only hope for getting out of the bottom half is to get Hillary elected. Because that is re-election for Bill.

Sexism and misogyny

involve disliking a person BECAUSE she is a woman.

Responsible political thinking requires that you make a choice. I for one refuse to allow the feminists and others to debase my thoughtful and well-reasoned dislike of Hillary. I don't dislike her because she's a woman.

I dislike her and her policies because she is just Bill's third leg. Bill is using Hillary to get back to the honey pot, and I think it's shameful.

The Scarlet "NC"

We need a court to rule that these fucking assholes get a scarlet "NC" for neo-con branded on their forehead, so that they would forever be marked as outcast and pariah within our country.

We MUST not take a "let bygones be bygones" with these war criminals.

Feith, Yoo, Kristol, Wolfowitz, Cheney, Rumsfeld - these are the core criminals. There is a core group of about 30 in total that needs branding.

Rowling is just greedy

She's made a lot of money off Harry, and god bless her for it. The books are great.

But she cannot stop this book. It would be totally unfair, and wrong. She does not own the character, just the words she wrote.

I see the problem as much more serious for Hillary

I'd like to see a comparable discussion of Hillary. I see the Hillary camp has having 3-4 times as many problems as Obama.

I and many Obama supporters have been called sexist, jerks, etc. by the Hillary camp. Yet WE are always the ones with the problem.

I know NO ONE who LOVES Obama. But I have seen dozens and dozens of posts from Hillary lovers saying how much they love her (those words directly) and how inspiring she is, and how brave. It's enough to turn your stomach.

Plus the Hillary supporters and the John McCain is the second choice stuff.

When will Salon discuss the Clinton Wacks?

There's a simple reason

The pope does not eat with other people in public. This is apparently a long-standing tradition.

I heard a story where Imelda Marcos invited J-P II to come to the Presidential Palace in Manila. She suprised him with a lavish dinner with 500 people. He ate soup, then left. His staff went to the kitchen to ensure that no more food would be brought out while the Pope was there.

I can sort of understand this. He requires distance from others to be effective.

Original article: Indians prefer boys

This is actually wonderful

India has 1 billion people. The Indian people, due to a cultural bias of monumental proportions, are going to reduce their population.

Here's how it will work. The Indians, for the next 10 years, maybe 20, will use sex-selection abortions. By 2018, the male:female ratio will be 7:4 or thereabouts. That means, in all practical senses, that the Indians are withdrawing almost 25 % of their population from the reproduction process. That is, there will be 3/7 of the male population in excess of female. 4:4 will match, mate and reproduce. 3/7 of the males will not.

It will reduce the indian population, by 2050, by about 15 %.

I say, WONDERFUL.

Make sex-selection abortions cheap. Allow this to happen. NOT A PROBLEM.

Of course, I'm not an Indian man, thank god.

The "bitter" flap has done one thing

It has confirmed in my mind my thought that Hillary is unfit for the Presidency. I will vote for her, if I must, in the GE, but will not contribute to her campaign.

She's showing off. That's what people do at the opera.

Obama was right

There is a huge class of persons, call them working-class or whatever you want, that have been globalization losers, and have not been represented for 40 years in Washington. These are the "bitter" voters. And Obama was right. They are bitter. I know some of these people. Some are my siblings, who are not in the best jobs in the world. They are VERY unhappy.

And the assholes who support Hillary, and Hillary herself, are trying to use the less-than-artful manner in which Mr. Obama spoke truth to damage him. This is a Republican strategy. Hillary is supposedly a Democrat.
