Well, people make mistakes. Sometimes they say boneheaded, dumb stuff.
To demand, as Hillary is doing, a pound of flesh for a single stupid comment is unreasonable.
Hillary should spend more time doing her JOB than complaining about dumb comments. Today, Feb. 12, she missed the FISA vote on the Senate Floor. Obama was there. Where was Hillary?
Nothing shows the gracious and large soul of a person than forgiving someone who has done you a disservice. Mr. Shuster did say something stupid. So, Hillary should say, "It's been a long campaign, and we all get carried away. While Mr. Shuster said something dumb, no one should lose their job for a dumb statement. Go, and sin no more."
That would impress people, and gain her some karma.
To prostitute means to use falsely or to use in a false manner.
So, Shuster could have stated "Chelsea has been prostituted by her mother" and this would be correct.
"Just to show people that work in the media, that in this business, anybody can be replaced. The next one is always better."
Hey, assholes are everywhere.
"Are you saying that Chelsea Clinton should not be part of this campaign?
Should Chelsea be locked in the closet, so that no other media person can make such rude comments?
This issue that Chelsea should not be in the spotlight is idiotic.
You are obviously illiterate or want to make a point on an issue which should not be part of the comment."
I don't agree with you about much, but I have no problem with Chelsea. She's a great kid, seems to be well-centered, and is probably very effective on the stump. As an Obama supporter, I have no problem with her campaigning.
Hillary evading her responsibilities in the Senate today has been rewarded. She has gotten her fanny tanned in VA.
And another ass-whoopin' is comin' in MD, WI and DC.
Too bad. Your nastiness is creating bad karma, hon. Stop hurting Hillary while you are ahead.
You just stuck a sharp stick into the eye of the Right Wing nazi types, and got them all riled up. Really really effective there folks.
How can people continue to do incredibly stupid stupid things like this?
It's difficult to argue for a course of moderate left or moderate right on the web. You get called names, you get banned from boards. You cannot say, as I have on many boards that I have been banned from, that "gay marriage is a bad issue for democrats," which it very very clearly is. There are organized posses on boards which TR, and these do TR parties on moderates. So, what happens is that the moderates are eliminated, and you are left with the wacks.
This happens on many boards. On some boards, like myDD, Clinton supporters lie terribly. You call them on the lies, you get dumped.
So, the web is a force for producing more and more wacks. This is due to selection pressures.
But I cannot remember when. I search my memory. AHHA! Camille Paglia!
Is the author a Camille Paglia student?
be damned:
"We can only hope the Superdelegates have the good sense not to let Obama, the weakest general-election Dem prospectively since Dukakis, anywhere near the nomination. If they have to be bribed or threatened, it's worth it"
To hell with the actual voters, right? Let them eat brioche, right? We, the elites, will let them know what to think, when to think, and when to vote, and how to vote.
That's democracy, Clintoon-style.
Fresh from pimping for Blackwater, Mark Penn now hypocritically criticizes Obama for doing the same thing that Hillary is doing.
These Hillary folks are simply unbelievably shameless. Time after time, they critique Obama for the same problem that Hillary has, but Hillary has it worse. Rezko is another good example. While Mr. Rezko has his problems, they are the same problems that Norm Chu had. Norm Chu is now in jail, and Rezko is not. Yet the Hillary folks say "Rezko" every time they open their mouths.
When will the Hillary people admit that Hillary and Barack are quite similar in policy, proposals and experience? The main difference is that Hillary has Bill tied around her neck like a great anchor of lead. Barack is PERHAPS less experienced, and that cuts both ways. He is not as dirty as Hillary in many ways, which is a good thing. He has not failed to accomplish as much as Hillary has. So, I dunno.
I do know that Mark Penn is probably the next advisor who will discover that his family is in need of more attention, or possibly Blackwater will need more careful grooming.

We have the obligation to tell the truth on the surge. It has not worked, regardless of the reports. By telling the truth, we damage McCain and help the American people and support our candidate.
It's a win-win-win.
Write a LTTE today, folks. The Surge has not worked. Why has it not worked? One simple reason: Today, we spent $250,000,000 in Iraq. Tomorrow, we spend $250,000,000 in Iraq. 8 months ago, on each day, we spent $250,000,000 in Iraq.
Every day we are in Iraq, we spend the $250,000,000. That is 2-3 FULL HIGH SCHOOLS per DAY. That is 5-6 ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS per DAY. That is 1-2 BRIDGES per DAY.
The Medical-Pharma complex is running health care into the ground. We need more options like this one. This is gonna cut health care costs, and good for them. I'm not a big Wal-Mart person - I have NEVER shopped there (except once), and never will. But I support these clinics, at Walgreens too.
