Boy, people sure hate it when someone writes about a rich person behaving badly! Don't listen to them. I thought this was a great story vis-a-vis the Times piece - Ambien silliness isn't limited to nurses wrapping their Volkswagens around telephone poles.
Besides, this was about Ambien, not Manhattan socialites. The drug works in rural Nebraska just as well.
Again, another letter completely disregarding another person's experience because of their (supposed) money. I'm sorry, but I simply must ask for your bank statements before I decide to take YOU seriously. Nice try "keeping it real," but you're WAY more boring than the "trustafarians" I've known.
Great article. "overkill," you're a frickin' jerk.
Anyone who has played basketball for any amount of time can tell you this: you don't have to be looking at somebody to intentionally hit them. Especially in an under-basket scrum. It seems beyond obvious that Henderson was trying to send a message, and while I'm confident he didn't want to actually break Tyler's nose, he did want to cause pain. He came clear across the court to do so.
The video speaks for itself - and while a few sportswriters continue to say it wasn't intentional, I think 85% of the fans - from both UNC and Duke - believe their eyes rather than post-mortem analysis.
I'm sorry, but can I just thank Ms. Miller for the Smiths reference?
Rebecca takes two pages to distill what Lewis and Waldman didn't in six hundred: this debate will seem bizarrely antiquated and irrelevant to any child currently being raised by any of us. The "oops I'm a dad" school of thought will go the way of the "fetch me my belt so's I can whup you" ethic, and to think it only took a few hundred thousand years. Wonderful writing.
