A Reminder

When talking about the arabs who left Israel, let us not forget the thousands of Jews who were thrown out of Middle East countries. These people had lived in these lands for hundreds of years. They left with nothing. All of them were welcomed in Israel. A country at war with its' neigbors. They only stayed in refugee camps for a short time. Israel and Jews all over the world helped them to assimilate in Israel. Is not this story as important as the Arab story? Of course it is.

DNC had no plan.

Did not the DNC ever think if names were on a ballot, people would vote. Even though, no candidate campaigned, In Michigan and Florida large numbers of people voted. In fact, how many voters actually knew their votes would not count. Was their a wide spread effort to get this information to the voter? The DNC, in my opinion, had no alternate plan in place when decided to punish these states for disobeying the rules. You know the RNC would have had a plan. The states do not want another election. They do not want spend the money. Caucuses would make the voters angry. If you voted for Senator Clinton you want the votes to count. Visa versa for Senator Obama following. Seat these delegates.

Spitzer wrongdoing

I agree with some writers that the investigation has many flaws. I would not be surprised if there was a push on the DOJ to find something out about him. Why, because there was no investigation of this ring until they caught him.

Problem is he is an idiot. If you want everyone's nose to be clean, you better have a one too.

The nastiness of people

There use to be men and women on TV and radio I admired for their liberal and progressive viewpoints. I can understand the right for behaving so badly towards Senator Clinton. I cannot understand our side for their attitude. Is Hillary to blame for everything wrong in our country? While Obama is never critized. She smiles it is wrong, she tears up it is wrong. She critizes Obama, what a sin. The man needs to be critized. Whatever she says the Republicans will be 1,000 times meaner. We think women here are treated with more respect than women in Muslim countries. I think that is not true.

Obama's problems with the Jewish Community

The Senator is having big problems with the Jewish Community. The problem is Black anti-semitism. It appears to many Jews that the many Black churches promote anti-semitism. Believe me this includes Revered Wright's church. I, personally, have gotten e-mails about this subject. Also, the Jewish community is very concerened about the Senator support of Israel. Jewish vote is very important in the large states. Jews vote. The vast majority are Democrats. If they believe the candidate does not support Israel they could vote for McCain. Finally, I want to say Judaism message is one of Truth, Justice and Peace. We are taught our mission is to heal the world.

Father does not know best

A boy has been studying and planning for his Bar Mitzvah. Family and friends are looking forward to the special day. The night before, your father calls and says he is not coming. Who knows why, but probably his feelings were hurt. He cannot rise above it. So he has to put a damper on a special day. There is a special word for such a person, shmuck.

McCain's senate record.

The way to fight back is to point up his votes in the Senate. He has been there a long time and has primarily voted the Republican agenda. Whatever he did to make him a maverick he has turned away from.

Bristol Palin

I feel sorry for Britol. I would not be surprised, if she felt her parents were not paying attention to her and her sisters. Her older brother is going to Iraq, and one can assume her parents were concerned. Then her parents have a down syndrome baby. A child who needs special care. So she turns to her boyfriend. So now she is having a baby. Her mom is off campaigning, she is suppose to help care for the baby brother. Plus, in my opinion, the boyfriend doesn't seem that great. She has to get married, stop her plans for her future. I think she caught in a bind. When the rightwingers say she is so great for keeping the baby, I wish they would say the best thing would be to put the baby up for adoption.

Mayor of a small town

He should ask her how many hours a day she spent being mayor. I lived in a city, population 35,000. The mayor was a member of city council and the job wast rotated. Every mayor had a full time job, not related to being the mayor. As in Governor Palin's town, there was a city manager who did most of the work. Ask her about the earmarks for her town. Why she had built a hockey stadium and not on capital improvements.

A comment on a letter

Christopher Neil wrote Nevada Republicans were homorphobic, anti choice, gun toting etc. Then he has the nerve to put Pro Zionist with that list. Later he mentions get Fascism out of this country. To say being Pro Zionism is the same as Fascism is so wwrong. Obviously, Neil knows nothing about the Holocaust and Israel.

Tight races.

I doubt if congressional members in tight races are rushing back to Washington. When they know when the bailout comes up for a vote they will show up. Therefore, McCain should be willing to campaign and do the debate.
