The problem here is one of comparision

[Read more letters about this article: Here]The premise of the article is that Hillary has received far more criticism than she should have due to her gender. What do we have for comparison though? Is it worse than how John (the orc) Edwards was treated?
Without comparison all you have is quotes of people making passionate arguments (some logical some not) that Hillary shouldn't be the nomination.
Would it be as bad if she were male?
No one has really answered that.

If you are going to argue that "well he agreed to have sex with her". Well you just argued against the right to have abortions because you know she did agree to have sex with him.
Unless you want to argue her body her choice shared responsibility. Which is arguing men should be held accountable for other peoples choices which i can't think of anything more "patriarchal".

Why do feminists use arguments that could equally apply against abortion on men?
If women don't want to get pregnant they can use birth control so outlawing abortion is fine right? If its okay to say a mistake was made and there fore an abortion is acceptable why no sympathy for when a male makes a mistake?

Also women can walk away. You can have an abortion or leave the child in a "safe haven" like a hospital and face no negative consequences. These things aren't generally available to men.

And there are also biological reasons why men earn more money and are more likely to become leaders. This is not prejudice is it?

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Its just feminists have redefined what equality is and how they view the world is often not based on empirical measurements.
For instance the idea that because men are in power this benefits all men. It is absurd there have been many female presidents and prime ministers and this hasn't benefited all women. People who have power who share the same genitalia as me do not share power with me. Men in general compete with other men just as women in general compete with women.
This creates the absurd view that all gender discrimination hurts women or the more common variety gender discrimination hurts women more. The problem with this is that there is no objective way to measure this. Since gender discrimination tends to affect both men and women in different ways.
If feminism was about real honest equality it would take discrimination against men as seriously as it does with discrimination against women. But since at its core is the belief that women have it 'worse'. This will never be the case.
