Folks is too busy reading legal noitices and bidding at autcions to be concerned

Americans will not react in defense of their own interests. The closest they've come is electing the propert party elite's frontman and media personality, Obama as their president.

Georgia is a non-judicial foreclosure state. After sixty days late on your mortgage payment, your property can be auctioned on the following second tuesday of the monht on the steps of your county courthouse, with no prior court hearing or judgment required. Tomorrow is second tuesday, and it looks like they have a lot of work to do, via open outcry auction.

Georgia did not experience a signifigant run up in housing prices during the formation of the bubble. Georgia voters sent almost exclusively republican representatives to Congress who all voted for bankruptcy "reform". In state, voters accepted the notion explained over and over by politicians that giving all legal recourse to mortgage holders and non to mortgagees would make loan rate cheaper:

ATLANTA - Foreclosed homes are up for grabs at auctions around the state Tuesday. A record of number of metro area homes also hit the auction block.

That includes a record number in Gwinnett County -- which has seen a spike in foreclosures.

More than 10,000 houses are set to be sold off.

Foreclosures in Georgia are at an all time high, with Gwinnett County seeing the most struggles in the area.

Last month there were 1,700 foreclosures, this month 2,500.

Fulton County has the second highest numbers in the metro area.....

IMO, Chuck Is a GE/RNC Sock Puppet...No Change in at Least 100 years.

It was fearless muckraker IDA Tarbell who took on predator John D. Rockefeller, in print. Leading journalists 100 years ago were all subservient to power, just as they are today.

The Brass Check (1919) Upton Sinclair

* Journalism is one of the devices whereby industrial autocracy keeps its control over political democracy; it is the day-by-day, between-elections propaganda, whereby the minds of the people are kept in a state of acquiescence, so that when the crisis of an election comes, they go to the polls and cast their ballots for either one of the two candidates of their exploiters.

* The methods by which the "Empire of Business" maintains its control over journalism are four: First, ownership of the papers; second, ownership of the owners; third, advertising subsidies; and fourth, direct bribery. By these methods there exists in America a control of news and of current comment more absolute than any monopoly in any other industry.
