Just Call Him O
[Read the article: Obama speaks Spanish in new ad]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This is a trick straight out of W's playbook. Back when W ran for govoner of Texas he had ads my truly bi-lingual (no accent in either language) husband still likes to mimic. "Yo soy tu Gobanador, George Bush". This is just as bad. Obama's lip movement does not match his voice so I think that they spliced together the voice so he could have a chance to say each word individually. My husband has lived in Puerto Rico and the Spanish there is totally different than anywhere else. I can't wait to play the video for him, it is really good for a laugh. When W did it it got a lot of the Hispanics to think he cared about them and they gave him their vote. Nothing Obama has done in this campaign is new, it has all been paterned on W's candidacy. So if he can manage to steal Florida he will be our next president.

DOESN'T HAVE A PRAYER
[Read the article: Ferraro wants study on sexism, racism in campaign]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I read the Op-ed by Ferraro and thought it was spot on. I think the Obama campaign has done so much damage to the Democrats cause. He is taking long time Democrats that have been there for minorities and throwing them under the bus. I was all but forced out of my last job for standing up for minorities that were being taken advantage of but since I voted for Clinton, I am sure I would be put in the Ferraro column by the Obama camp. I had such hopes for the Obama candidacy. His first book touched me to the core and was something I wanted my own kids to read because they have struggled with many of the same racial issues. I hate the way he has played the race card. If you don't recognize it maybe it is because you have not spent years of your life working in a majority minority school district, living in a mixed race neighborhood or sent your kids to a majority minority school district (12% white). I desperately want a Democrat to be the next President. I will vote for Obama only because I plan to pull a straight ticket. But just like I know in my heart Hillary doesn't have a prayer in the primaries, I also know Obama doesn't have a prayer in the General election. I can't wait to hear the results of the Ferraro study and they should add a fourth request, what results did the racism/sexism play in losing the election for the democrats?.

EX-COMMUNICATE HIM NOW
[Read the article: Report: Obama resigns membership in controversial church]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]As a Catholic that has never recovered from the support my church gave Bush in 2000 and 2004, I just have to say this is the last straw. Even my husband who has continued to go to mass weekly stated after this that religion is no different than politics. This priest should be ex-communicated for his actions. And the Trinity church should lose its tax exempt status.

LINKS
[Read the article: Report: Obama resigns membership in controversial church]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Make sure and read all the links attached to this article. It is important to note that the Catholic priest is a friend and supporter of Obama and vice versa. If he can't be ex-communicated by the Pope for his offenses then he can be censured or told to act in accordance with Christian Principles. Or is acting out your Christian Faith too much to ask of the leaders of the Catholic church today? And don't tell me Bishops don't have the power. I know a priest that was told by his Bishop that he would be denied his pension if he sided against the Diocese in a law suit. Lucky for him the filer of the lawsuit was a personal friend and dropped the suit so the priest would not have to choose between perjuring himself and starving in his retirement. Yeah the church is certainly on par with politics in this country.

POLITICALLY EXPEDIENT
[Read the article: Big weekend news]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Instead of putting Wright's devisive rhetoric in the past the NEW Pastor invites an equally divisive Catholic Priest to give a guest sermon. To distance himself Obama had been calling Wright his FORMER Pastor since his sermons surfaced. Now his CURRENT Pastor is carrying on the Wright tradition of divisive racism. Obama has no choice but to make his NEW Pastor his former Pastor too. Not saying I respect his decision because it it purely political but he is nothing if not a political creation.

SCARY
[Read the article: Bateman: "Our Democratic Party threw us down the tubes!"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The scary part is though I don't agree with her and people like her don't help Hillary's cause, I think she is right McCain will be the next President of the United States. God Help us.

OVERKILL
[Read the article: This Modern World]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]What happened? How did so many of my generation that were Hippies end up buying into the bigger is better theory? The seventies were about saving the earth and then we went on to fast forward its destruction. I bring this subject up everytime I see a fool in an automobile so big they can't even park it correctly. I still drive a Corolla. When my 1975 Corolla was 14 years old we drove with our two kids all the way from Texas to Guatemala. Parts of the trip were on umpaved roads and much of it mountainous. The idea that you need a large vehicle for these trips is bunk. Yeah, I've ridden in a few cars that were so comfortable that you felt like you were in someone's den but for traveling back and forth to work and play that is total overkill.

READ IT
[Read the article: Hillary Clinton for veep -- the petition]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]There is an interesting article by Scott Spivak on Obama at HoustonPress.com. Read it. Oh and the press is already subtly changing their tone about Obama. Pay attention. This isn't the slam dunk his supporters make it out to be.

LOST
[Read the article: Obama to Clinton: Want to meet?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]After the outright theft in 2000 and the suspicion of theft in Ohio in 2004 I thought we could finally get one right. But now we had a choice between two extremely flawed candidates. No one won tonight, we all lost.
