This whole campaign Obama and his team have been playing the Good Cop, Bad Cop routine. I can't believe how many 'progressives' have fallen for it. This attack was the lowest of them all. Hillary's comment about RFK had nothing to do with a possible assasination of Barack and for his team to promote that idea is like asking for it considering all the nuts in this country. Since when do Black men have a monopoly on being assassinated. Neither JFK or RFK are Black. I think they are trying to put Hillary in danger so she will be the one taking the bullet. They can't seem to take her down any other way. They are practicing the lowest form of politics. This is a comment from the Salon article on the Recount film that really struck me, "Elections are a game, and you try to win the game any way you can". Obama has certainly taken that to heart.
Hillary's energy is amazing. She runs circles around Obama. Even McCain has more energy than Obama. Since he is the presumed Democratic Nominee this concerns me. Hillary may finally be tiring but her remarks were acurate and historicaly correct and anyone that takes them out of context is just plain stupid.
After I started paying attention to current politics and the way things are purposefully misrepresented it made me doubt every thing from the Bible forward. Since then I have pretty much lost faith in this country and everything else.
TT calls Obama out for something. He raked Bill Clinton over the coals for years and has done the same to Hillary. Finally he is being an equal opportunity cartoonist! I have no problem with him calling out politicans I support for real issues, but I want to see him be fair, so let's hope he keeps it up, and stops giving Obama a pass.
You couldn't have said it better! You are right on the money with your comments.
Hillary's got 'em, Obama doesn't. Maybe Michelle has them. Rev. Wright definately has 'em.
The biggest problem I find with Obama's supporters is the "anybody but Hillary" factor. I appreciate Salon for still reporting both sides. I have cancelled my subscription to all the other so called Progressive websites that do nothing but bash Hillary. Not being Hillary is not a good enough reason to support Obama. But come November, not being McCain will be a good enough reason to support either Obama or Hillary.
Read the Wayne Madsen Report online, there is more to this than a simple suicide.
So tongue in cheek! I needed a laugh. Thanks Glenn.
Just love the way Obama calls Wright his 'former' pastor. The pastor left the church not the other way around so it is not a choice Obama made but he tries to make it sound that way. I liked the way Houston A Baker Jr. put Obama's speech into a perspective I agree with. I think Obama's problems of electability go way beyond his choice of church. His wife is just as devisive and he can't act like she is his crazy Aunt like he tried to play Rev. Wright like a crazy Uncle. He's Toast!
I can't believe we watched the whole thing. One of the lamest reality shows ever!
George Stephanopoulos wrote a very negative book about the Clintons after he quit politics and became a media personality. He should not have been a moderator at this debate because of his bias AGAINST the Clintons. He was soooo dissapointed in Bill Clinton when he worked under him because they were not able to accomplish the progressive goals they had planned upon entering the white house. So how does Steph counter this dissapointment? By joining the anti-Democratice media for big bucks. He, along with the majority of the media have no credibility. P.S. Every time an Obama supporter attacks my post it enforces my opinion that he and his supporters are too negative to turn things around in this train wreck of a country.
If Obama did not hee and haw so much when answering questions there would have been more time for debate. He should have had clear answers ready instead of acting like he was above it all and didn't need to explain himself. He is encouraging the elitist charges against him. Hillary looks so uncomfortable when she has to criticize Obama but as the video shows he is most gleefull when attacking her. I have seen it first hand at one of his events. I support Dems because I can't tolerate Repubs and along the same lines I became a Hillary supporter by default after being turned off by the negativity of Obama and his supporters. He needs to know that at the events he is preaching to the choir and it does not always play well outside that insulated environment. He is starting to remind me of Bush the way he handles things, like he is above it all and not subject to the same scrutiny as Hillary. I do not like the main stream media and I particularly dislike Stepanopolis and his short man syndrome and I deplore the fact that many voters in this country get all their info from TV but it is the reality of the situation and like it or not voters are concerned about the Obama 'stories' and he wasted an opportunity to correct those misconceptions. This country is mostly made up of politically ignorant idiots. If Obama had to explain his vote on profits for energy companies or limiting class action suits then maybe some of you so called progresives would get your eyes opened. Listen to Democracy Now if you want to be informed, Amy had a great program today about the debates and with Nader's V.P. candidate.
