WAR IS HELL

I feel like sending this to all my 'support the troops' head in the sand relatives and people I used to call friends before I found out they supported Bush. There is simply no excuse that can be made for our country.

DISENCHANTED

Since 1998 I have lived and breathed Politics to the point that my grown kids are sick of every conversation leading to the evilness of Republicans. Now my 31 year old lawyer daughter has become obsessed. But her obsession is with Obama. She is so angry that she wants to write in Hillary's name in November. (probably impossible on touch screens) She thinks Obama is the anti-christ. The frightening thing to me is that she was a volunteer legal observer at an anti-war march in Washington and a volunteer legal observer in a Black area in the 2004 election. If an educated, committed person can turn her back on the Democrats for their treatment of Hillary how will the downtrodden women of our nation react? Like me she is so angry at the treatment of Hillary by Obama, his supporters and the media that we can't at this point rationalize supporting him. We are not suicidal and will not support McCain but we want to make a statement. I am really disenchanted with my party.

FAVORITISM

If anyone is small on top and large on bottom it is Michell Obama. She has the worst body type for a woman. She needs to learn how to dress for her age/body. The night Obama won she wore a sleeveless dress onstage and waved her arms with her flab swinging all over the place. Yuck! If it had been Hillary the news would have played that scene over and over. I am not saying the news should focus on this stuff, I am just pointing out the favoritism shown the Obamas.

WILL THE REAL OBAMA PLEASE STAND UP

Part of the reason I supported Hillary was because I felt betrayed by Obama. He constantly played the race card, which is unforgivable. He praised Republicans like Reagan and denigrated Bill Clinton's legacy. He portrayed his grandmother in a very bad light in his race speech and then had the nerve to thank her when he won the delegate count. Starting the speech that way, by mentioning his grandmother just reminded me what a traitor he is. He did not portray his grandmother that way in his book, some things can not be explained in one sentence. His first book was so moving that I have not been able to reconcile what I saw him do in this campaign with the person that wrote that book. His second book, while somewhat boring was good too. Where is that person? If that person shows up now I will be even more confused about who he really is. Will the real Obama please stand up.

WOW

That is all I can say because I am speechless.

@FREEBIRD

I vetted the two remaining candidates (HIll and BO) and chose the former. Even with all his dirty pool playing, especially his pulling out the race card everytime someone opened their mouth, you are right he is nowhere near as evil as the misogynist John McCain. I made a vow in 2000 that I would NEVER vote for a Republican and I am not about to break it for McCain. It never hurts to have a strong reminder why, like you just gave. Thanks.

ANTI-CHRIST

My daughter is convinced he is the anti-christ. This kind of adulation makes her conviction seem possible.

LOSING DOG

In Japan if you (male or female) are not married by the time you are 30 you are considered a make inu, or losing dog. As in a dog that lost the race. It puts a lot of pressure on singles there and surely leads to poor choices. I never put any marital expectations on my kids and society shouldn't either. I love being married to my spouse but I wish I had had more choices of what to do with my life when I was young.

GETTING WHAT SHE DESERVES

Michelle's attitude towards Hillary was as if Hillary deserved the treatment she got from the media. Now that the shoe is on the other foot poor pitiful Michelle expects herself to be treated differently. The media got their first wish by driving Hillary out of the race. The next step is to take out the Obamas and Michelle is going to make that so easy for them. I personally can not forgive her saying that she would have to really really think about whether she would vote for Hillary if she got the nomination. Anyone representing the Democratic party should not have given an answer like that.

HYPOCRITE

Didn't Obama's campaign use the fact that Hillary was once on the Wal-Mart board to smear her during the primary? Obama is the biggest Hypocrite of them all! I lump him with all the Republican hypocrits I have been railing against for the last 12 years.
