Dear Joan, you are too polite for your own good.
When debating with insane people like O'Reilly, you need to speak his language to get your point across. In response to his nonsense of having blood on your hand for being pro-choice; all you had to say was: well Bill if I do for supporting a woman's choice, Based on your logic, so do you(Bill) for opposing a woman's choice and being anti-abortion and supporting and provoking people with your hate speeches, who act violently towards doctors who perform abortions.
Better luck next time and don't be so nice with these people.
I agree with other posters regarding why to debate liz cheney.
I am disappointed on joan for even giving Liz a voice to repeat the same garbage. Joan should have refused to debate her, she should have just stated her views and make the comment that Liz is not qualified to make a judgement on what is right or wrong,
and all she can do is to support her DAD.
liz cheney missed the last 8 years of take your daughter to work.
Who is she to even comment on national security matters, notice the caption under her name: DAUGHTER OF THE FORMER VP OF THE USA.
What gives her the right to even criticize the OBAMA's administration, she doesn't hold any office either elected or appointed. She once had a job in state dept. because of her DAD, and that's all.
Don't give her credibility to even debate her.
She doesn't have access to any classified memos to back her claims. She is just repeating her DADY's words.
I don't want to hear from her anymore than her DAD.
I think some are missing the point of this interview.
The focus should be on the question of the day, Obama's relationship with Ayers. Both men basically said the same thing
regarding their association. We can judge Ayer's actions all we want, but that should not be any reflection on our President elect OBAMA's views one way or another. As Ayer said something to the fact that 2008 election will be probably the last election concerned about heroes or velins of the 1960's war.
Let leave the past to historians and focus on the future.
I just read an article on radicallyrightugly.blogspot.com
I suggest everybody to read it. "Tar-Baby that OBAMA should avoid", as we all should.
McCain out of desperation created a Monster(PALIN).
Tar-Baby is a doll made of Tar & Turpentine to entrap Rabit.
The more that rabit fought the Tar-Baby, the more entangled he became. Palin problem is a sticky situation, it is aggrevated by additional contact.
the only solution is complete seperation.
she is the CANCER which we have to cut off completely.
She is using all the bad press to her advantage, it makes her look like the victim in the 2008 election. We should stop all press and news about her.
OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND.
She will build on her supporters' sympathy and the PITTBULL will attack in 2012. Look at her track record, She lost in 2002 Lt. Governor'
race in ALASKA, but came back in 2006 and won the Governor's race.
We all know that she is an ignorant, moran and all she can talk about is GOD, GUN, and the big bad Government.
That is why she drops the G's in her speech, She has enough G's
in her life.
So let not give her any more voice, that goes for the media too. The best thing is complete black-out on her.
Powell stood up to his own party of 40 years.
He tries to reform the ugly politic of Carl rove and the GOP.
He puts his country first by endorsing OBAMA for the president.
He holds on to his integrity and honor by resigning from the BUSH's administration.
This should be a lesson for McCain/Palin.
I appreciate glenn's highlighting the essential points of Powell's statement, but the main task is getting this important facts heard by the undecided and the independent voters. We should convince them of the merits of the OBAMA's
presidency. so let all of us try to drive the message of unity home.
I was so moved by Powell's comments and how he came to the decision of supporting Obama. I wish all Americans would look at this election in the same light as Powell has.
Our country needs a leader that would restore our superior morality in the world so once again the U.S.A can be looked upon as the heaven of HOPE.
