I've Always Rejected
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The patriotism-sports thingy.
I remain seated during the National Anthem at games I go to. And there always seems to be some Colonel of the patriotism police in the vicinity that wants to make an issue about it, sometimes close to physically.
I try to explain that the great thing about America is you don't have to stand. But it doesn't sink in.
-
Why?
[Read the article: Standards of American justice under George W. Bush]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Do we still own part of Cuba anyhow?
-
Call Me Nostradamus
[Read the article: Tough talk on Iraq, but will any action follow?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Action will follow the talk roughly a year, or a little less, before the 2008 elections, by all republican congressional candidates trailing in the polls by 10 or more.

On CNN.com
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]There is speculation that this pro wrestler who killed his wife and kid and himself may have been due to steroids.
Barry may be off the hook for a few days anyway.
-
I Don't Know About
[Read the article: Bill Clinton wants to know if you're having fun]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Calling the Clinton marriage "unique." It's probably fairly representative of the typical American marriage.
-
Ranking Durant Over Oden
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Is roughly the equivalent of ranking Dubya over George Washington.
-
I Didn't Say Anything
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]About Jordan-Bowie, then or now..........But then and now I correctly identified Olajuwon as the best player in that draft.
-
It's Common Knowledge
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That Olajuwon was the proper pick----Easy to tell, EVERYONE has always talked about the picking Bowie over Jordan..no on ever condemns the Olajuwon pick.
-
Yeah Right
[Read the article: Surging toward disaster in Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]America's national security will be in jeopardy as soon as the American army ceases bieng the policemen of Iraq.
-
If Ann Coulter...............
[Read the article: Bashing Elizabeth Edwards]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]..........is speaking for God, then I am proudly "Godless".
-
Has Anyone Else Noticed?
[Read the article: For Baghdad, a "surge" or just a slow roll?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Maybe it's coincidence, maybe it's signifigant.........The percentage of the population that approves of Bush and supports the surge is merging into the same percentage who don't believe in evolution.
-
I'm Still Not 100% Sold
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]On Oden being 19

Here's My Bottom Line On Coulter
[Read the article: The lies go on and on]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It's not her fault, it's her parents.
-
Coulter
[Read the article: The lies go on and on]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Has had a corncob up her butt ever since she wrote HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS in the pre-impeachment/Senate trial time of Clinton.....And then it turned out that they were not high crimes and misdemeanors.
-
Most
[Read the article: The lies go on and on]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Of the high pitched, obnoxious rhetoric of the republican big mouths is in direct response to.... A.)a larger and larger majority of the country finally and fully realizing the disaster the conservatives have given us......and B.) this realization taking shape at the ballot box.
The Coulter/Hannity/Limbaugh etc. reaction is going to get more belligerent after the 2008 election.
-
Although
[Read the article: The lies go on and on]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I suspect Coulter, Hannity, and Limbaugh are secretly rooting for Hillary...They are sick and tired of defending the indefensible. That gets old, and as desperately as they might try, it's damn difficult to mount any offensives other than stuff like "faggot." In brief, the carnival barker insulting passerbys trying to get them holler back.
They've been jealous of the dems hammering away at Dubya. They want to get back to the full-fledged pitbull minority status. That suits their nature best.
-
Coulter Is Not An Idiot
[Read the article: The lies go on and on]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]She is just hopelessly backed into a corner.
At one time the biggest cheerleader for the "smaller government" but minority republicans, against the "big government" liberals.
Then her party takes total control of government, Whitehouse and Congress for years, and they set new record highs at all levels of government, and in all ways--from spending, to governmental powers, to secrecy, to pre-emptive war and nation building.
That's backed in the corner. So Clinton, Gore, and Edwards are fags.
-
The Louder Coulter Gets Is A Good Thing
[Read the article: The lies go on and on]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It's the signal that the conservative movement is exploding.
It's like the initial rumblings and spurts from St. Helens, before the collapse of one side of the mountain
If all Bush's decisions were working out and everything was running smooth, Coulter would be in the background and relatively quiet.
The more aggressive she is, and when she is getting the most exposure, is when her political movement is going in to the toilet. And her aggressiveness and exposure will only add to the troubles.
-
Coulter Is So Spiteful
[Read the article: The lies go on and on]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It's probably a safe guess she has contempt and spite for her own friendly audience as well. Eventually she may be spitting venom at them as well.
For now her game is leading a jihad of the riff-raff, many rural and red state, against their intellectual superiors. Her humor, using the term humor loosely, draws laughs and kudos down on the farm or at least with the farm mentality. It's all basically just trying to poke their fingers in someone's eye.
-
The Best Analogy
[Read the article: The lies go on and on]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]For Coulter, is Moe of the 3 stooges.
-
If Iran Was Smart
[Read the article: Bring on the insurgents -- and call girls!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]They would put frozen zygotes and embryonic stem cells all around their nuclear facilities.
That would render "bring 'em on" Bush impotent to attack.
-
He's Going Out There
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]To try and catch the 756th homer and retire.
-
You Have To Look At It As Comedy
[Read the article: The tragic collapse of America's standing in the world]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The current republican administration has created a bloodbath in Iraq.
While the current crop of republican candidates for 2008 are debating whether evolution is true or not.
-
I Just Have To Think
[Read the article: The tragic collapse of America's standing in the world]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That a good chunk of the world can distinguish between America and the republican base.
-
Bush Isn't Even 50 Percent These Days
[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]In his base---the Confederacy.
-
Well
[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Even if Bush hits rock bottom he can always count on a few supporters.....Scalia, Roberts, Thomas, and Alito.
-
Maybe Their guys
[Read the article: That's How You Got Killed Before]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Come back to life like our guys do--Jesus.
-
I'm Guessing
[Read the article: Leahy and Conyers blast back at White House "stonewalling"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It will eventually come down to one swing vote and a 5-4.
They could find kiddie porn on the Oval Office computer and Scalia, Thomas, Roberts, and Alito would rule in Bush's favor.
-
Mays-Bonds
[Read the article: How did baseball botch its tribute to Willie Mays?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]At age 42 Mays called it a career. That year he had a .211 batting average, a .303 on base percentage, and a .344 slugging percentage..............Bonds turns 43 this month. He's currently .295 batting, .512 on base, and .589 slugging.
-
You Can Whine All You Want About Bonds
[Read the article: How did baseball botch its tribute to Willie Mays?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]He still has the most amazing stat in sports history in my book---------He swung the bat and missed the ball 16 times in an entire season.
-
Sorry
[Read the article: How did baseball botch its tribute to Willie Mays?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Very, very few players did anything after the age of 40. The league is still petrified of Bonds and walking him non-stop at age 43.
-
Oh And By The Way
[Read the article: How did baseball botch its tribute to Willie Mays?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]In the day of Rose, Aaaron, and Mays----the days of double headers and less comfortable and convenient travel, the trainers had these little pills they handed out called greenies-----Jim Bouton wrote about it in BALL FOUR.
Amphetamines.
Performance enhancers.
-
Not To Mention
[Read the article: How did baseball botch its tribute to Willie Mays?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]These massive offensive and defensive lines, now hallowed and respected legends with glorious nicknames, that led teams to Super Bowl titles over the last few decades.
But Bonds is Darth Vader.
-
And Of Course
[Read the article: How did baseball botch its tribute to Willie Mays?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It is absolutely indisputable that Bonds was a better all-around player pre-steroids.
