Here-in Lies The Problem

With Sagarin and Pomelroy.....People look at it and come up with some absolutely asinine statements like A&M is by far better than these other teams.

But Wes

A&M is 19th and the others are 36 and 42 and 47 or whatever............LMAO

I love American sports.

I Just Went To Sagarin

Do these people that go there even really look at it. Or are they just going there looking at the rankings (and cherry picking from those) to prove some pre-conceived notion or to the benefit of their conference or team?

If #19 A&M played at number 100 South Carolina (14-18 non NIT) Sagarin's system anticipates A&M scoring 2 more baskets over 40 minutes. So his system is saying there is not big differences.

Hell, I could have told you that without a computer or web-site.

Hansbrough

Is the man. Louisville came at them and he said no sir.

So the Louisville season concludes tonight with the call in shows and all the wannabes saying that Pitino should have done this or that. If only we had the blubber on the couch coaching.

"Hillary's "I'm the only one who is electable" argument is losing steam "

Losing steam until November.

You Have To Be Impressed

The Final-4 teams are 143-9 combined.......28-0 in their conference tourneys and NCAA games, by an average margin of 78-63 in those 28 games.......UNC up 608-487, Memphis 562-438, Kansas 516-430, and UCLA 497-397.

Monday, March 31, 2008 12:42 PM

Whatever Is Done I'd Advise

Keeping Hillary happy.

Or somebody's gonna get knee-capped.

I Think You Should Pick

Every game, every day for the whole season.

Tuesday, April 1, 2008 07:33 AM

The Percentage Of Democrats

That think she should get out of the race is a staggering minority...........which, again, shows substantial doubts about Obama.

It Looks To Me

Like it's going on and on..........and finally the majority will say--Okay I guess we have to let him be the nominee. God help us.

That May Be

Anal retentive sports analysis.............You have a 1 in 6 chance of winning a 6 team division and 1 in 5 of winning a five.

I Like The Tax Cut Lectures

You have these big shots like Limbaugh and Hannity making millions and who stand to make tens of thousands with tax cuts preaching tax cut voting to the flock, many of whom have little or no worth.

And when deficit talk comes up, or cost of war, it's always--the more you cut taxes the more money the government gets.

It's like a mental ward.

Whatever Division The Reds Are In

They need to start making contact....10 fans yesterday. Out of the gate early to lead the division, the league and-or the majors in fans once again.

On The Subject Of Predicting

Some local yahoo was 3rd out of 3 million after 2 or 3 rounds in the ESPN NCAA brackets picking for the ten grand prize. He sent in his picks and they hit. Probably turned in other sheets in other pools that flopped.

Anyhow the local sports radio show had him on for half an hour like he was some kind of special human. I was expecting the host to ask him the meaning of life.

After the next few games the guy's ESPN sheet collapsed.

More Radio Comedy

On the Louisville call-in show last night rehashing the defeat to UNC, one call after another was about the free throw shooting. Louisville was 9-16.

This falls under the category of fan-mob psychiatry. The fans had been bitching and moaning about the free throw shooting all year. Egged on by media warnings. So as the season concluded Louisville either had to win it all or shoot free throws well in any loss, or free throw shooting would be singled out by the fans to validate their analysis from all year long. The all year long couldn't possibly be bullshit or not apply in the big game, could it?.

The free throw shooting was not a factor. At all. North Carolina came out smokin' and knocked them on their heels. Then Louisville had to fight hard and frantic to get back in it, then UNC had another run at the end. And of course the play of Hansbrough being the primary factor.

Besides Pitino would take a 9-16 free throw percentage and 53 percent from the field every game he coaches.

My Advice

Is to treat Hillary nice. She could kitchen-sink the whole lot of you and run with McCain. That ticket would win for sure.

With Dunn?............Don't tell me, it's despite him, instead of him being part of the cause. They'd even be worse without him.
