They have the most NCAA appearances by quite a bit, but are not number one in titles, Final Fours, or final game appearances. Not even number two in some tourney categories.
Why? Because they dominated for so long all white, in an all-white conference, where everyone else just cared about football.

Which was the doing mostly of Mashburn. Before they got him, Pelphrey and Feldhaus and Farmer were losing 150-95 to Kansas.
In reality, UK would have been better with better talent around Mashburn.

Between not counting penalty strokes, picking up any putt inside of 3 or 4 feet and counting it as good, taking mulligans, and rolling the ball over in the rough to improve the lie for a better chance at solid contact---there is probably less than 1 percent of golf scores that are legitimate by the rules of golf.
