Ruby

11:17 in Western Union office.

Strolls over to police basement a couple blocks.

Takes his position along the path to the transfer car.

Oswald brought out and Ruby shoots him at 11:21.

One Thing's For Damned Sure

Although the transfer was announced the previous evening to be at 10:00 AM, it would have been a tad risky for him to show up then hanging around waiting with gun in pocket.

Vidor

Has it all figgered out..........The cops find the assassin at random walking along the sidewalk, then under police custody the most important prisoner in the history of the United States is gunned down by the local low-level mobster and titty bar owner, who is filled with righteous and patriotic indignation.

Take a shower vidor. Please.

I Still Love

Ruby on national TV, pre-shooting of Oswald, emphatically correcting the police captain----Oswald is Fair Play for Cuba, not Free Cuba.

Huh?

"The league should give Bonds the ball, let him take a bow – and that’s it."

Are they going to send some goons out to comfiscate it from the fan who catches it?

What Selig Needs To Do Is

Try and do something about moronic baseball announcers.

I've heard this nonsense a couple of times in games I've watched over the last few days and I've been hearing it my whole life.

Example 1---Runner on second, two out. Pitcher picks off runner. Next batter singles......Announcer says the bad baserunning cost the team a run.

Example 2---Home team begins the 9th inning trailing 6-5. Visitors score a run in the top of the ninth to make it 7-5...... Someone hits a solo homer in the bottom of the 9th and the final is 7-6. Announcers say without that 7th run, the solo homer ties it and we would be in extra innings.

You cannot arbitrarily change one item in the game and pretend like everything after it would remain the same. It's PREPOSTEROUS.

And all announcers do it. Over and over and over and over.

Mike

See how ridiculous it gets. Even the batter to lead off next inning

Of Course

The same inning would be just as ridiculous.

I'm Going To Ease Off

On Steve Nash as far as getting a ring goes.

Maybe he can just make it to the finals once before he's through.

Iverson's Been To The Finals

On a lesser team than most of the teams Nash has played for.

spike

I don't know. It's starting to look like Nash (back to back MVP Nash, LMAO) can do whatever it takes to fall short.

Build A Time Machine

And send Rickey Henderson or Barry Bonds back to the 1920's to play in the majors, the league simply could not have dealt with it. They probably would have been killed after absolutely destroying the competition for awhile.

And in Bonds case that is with or without steroids.

Arroyo--Town Stud

This weekend in Cincinnati in recognition of Bronson Arroyo....you get a Reds cap complete with an attached blonde wig.

He's been the winning pitcher in 8 of his last 34 starts going back to last year. This year he is 2-7 with an ERA of over 5, and his last 4 starts good for 17 2/3 innings--33 hits--5 homers--26 earned runs for an ERA of 13 plus.

It don't take much to get special recognition in Cincy these days.

That's

A pretty damn low ERA for me.

I'm Always Pleased

To see anyone dump on the military.

The over-glorification of the army is one of the biggest frauds in this country.

It's like, all you have to do is sign up and put on a uniform and you get your ass kissed for the rest of your life.

And anyone who criticizes the military is a godless, scumbag heretic

Thursday, June 14, 2007 09:24 AM

Our Army

Is at least 25 percent morons, just like the rest of our society.

Thursday, June 14, 2007 09:46 AM

The Best Example

Of the ridiculous run-amok ass-kissing of our military can be found on this "TO CATCH A PREDATOR" series on MSNBC with Chris Hansen.

They catch sexual predators on internet chat lines with decoy children then confront them when they show up for the meeting they arrange with the child. Hansen comes out from behind a door and proceeds to interview them, then the cops nab them when they finally try to leave.

They have had several episodes of Iraq veterans showing up for the child sex. In his interview with them Hansen says--"How can you bravely and honorably serve your country in Iraq then return home and get involved with this kind of thing?"

Bullshit. The question is, is if they are trying to arrange sexual encounters here with 12 year olds, what the fuck were they doing at night, armed to the teeth, on the streets of Baghdad?

My Brother

Lives near a military base in Tennessee....He says it's common knowledge among civilians to just stay away from the place because of the hooliganism and danger.

Of All The Americano Fanatsies And Wet Dreams

The most laughable and absurd is that all our soldiers are a bunch of jolly green giant, moral supermen. With maybe one in 25,000 being bad.

It's a damn joke.

Thursday, June 14, 2007 10:01 AM

Not Only All That

But all political debate in Washington and rhetoric from the peasant citizenry has to be sifted through a filter of how it will effect the troops.

Thursday, June 14, 2007 10:10 AM

This Eternal Ass Kissing Of The Troops

Causes two major problems.

1.) The episodes of misconduct and abuse by our soldiers is produced in part by the ass kissing. They eventually come to think they can do whatever the hell they want.

2.) When you falsely pretend the soldiers are some sort of Gods, and kiss their asses all the time, eventually someone sends them on missions like spreading democracy in the land of suicide bombers.

It Seems To Me

The administration would welcome wholesale criticism of the military leaders. This deflects attention away from the obvious incompetence, gross stupidity, childish stubborness, and pompous arrogance of the civilian leadership.

Besides

I stopped taking our military seriously when Dubya landed on the air craft carrier in his little fighter pilot costume.
