Last Night

I was channel surfing and came across an "air guitar" championship.

I'd say that's the musical equivalent of the sports nerds.

It's A Damn Shame

That Rush Limbaugh never ran against Bush. Everything they'd smear him with would be the truth.

The Problem Is

That a voter who would be swayed by that kind of stuff is so god damned ignorant, that even without it, you'd wonder what the hell they'd be basing their vote on.

The Colts Declined To Kick A Short Field Goal

With 3 minutes left that would have made it 32-17. I was right.

By the way in the 4th quarter and overtime with the Super Bowl on the line, Sportsman of the Year Favre was 4 for 10 for 32 yards and two picks.

No

I was right. They just didn't kick the field goal and handed off instead.

It's A Damn Good Thing

That the Giants recovered that fumbled punt in the scrum about midfield with a couple minutes left. If the Packers get it, they may gain 25 or 30 yards and kick a field goal. Then they wanted it more.

Saint Louis

Scored 20 points in a game here recently. I wonder if that pissed off the Bishop. Or the Rook. Or the Knight. Not to mention the King and Queen......I'm sure the Pawns(fans, nerds) were distressed.

A Big Thumbs Up

On the part of the column about the pussy pageants. But King is still a bit reserved.

My general rule of thumb is that if I was to send a piece to HUSTLER magazine would the editors have a lengthy debate on whether or not it's printable or appropriate. If that debate is a 95 percent probability to certain, I consider the work complete.

Now They Belong To The Ages

Now that New England has beaten the Giants to conclude their 19-0 season it is time for reflection and contemplation.

It is simply an incredible, incredible, nearly unbelievable achievement. We watched it so it must have happened.

They beat the number 2 seed in their own conference and defending champion Colts, on the road down by 10 in the 4th quarter. They whipped the NFC one seed Dallas on the road by 3 touchdowns. They beat division champ San Diego twice by a combined 59-26, the second time on an 8 game streak themselves. They beat the playoff Redskins by 45. They slaughtered division champ Pittsburgh. They toyed with physical Jacksonville in the playoffs. And they beat the Giants twice, once to conclude the regular season down 12 in the second half at New York, and whipped them again in the Super Bowl. They also needed late touchdown drives against the Eagles and Ravens to keep it rolling and did it both times. In the game at Indy they needed touchdowns on their last 2 drives and got them.

And now they have capped it with victory number 19 in the Super Bowl.

Let us stand in awe of these Gods on earth. And start counting at 20 next season.

Good, that's out of the way. One less thing to do Monday after next.

The Chabad Lubavitch Sect

Was the founder named Chabad Lubavitch or something.

When you trace religions back to the start it had to be one dude, or a few dudes, making rules for a small group. Control and power.

I wonder if in their wildest imaginations they thought that way off in the future there would still be schmucks swallowing it and following their dreamed-up, hocus pocus, ooga-booga regulations. Probably not, and didn't care. They were just into their own power trip. After they died, they didn't really give a hoot what happened.
