"but a very weak Washington team came very close to beating Hawaii."

Washington lost to USC 27-24.

Oklahoma is not in the title game because they lost to 6-6 Colorado.

Georgia is not in the title game because they lost at home to 6-6 South Carolina.

USC is not in the title game because they lost at home to 4-8 Stanford.

West Virginia is not in the title game because they lost at home to 5-7 Pitt.

The fans, a.k.a. the nerds, chalk that up to "choke", "layed an egg", "were looking past them", or "didn't come to play."

They are simply incapable of the reality of the situation----The difference in size, speed, and talent between the top teams and middle of the pack teams is not NEARLY as great as advertised by the frontal lobe deficient media, or as back when they were little nerds.....The nerd mentality--- An 11-1 or 10-2 team MUST be way, way better than a 6-6 or 5-7 team.

I Look Out My Window

And watch Hillary as she passes by

I say to myself I'm such a lucky guy

To have a girl like her is a strictly a dream come true Of all the girls in New York she loves me true

It's just my imagination, once again

Running away with me

It's just my imagination

Running away with me

Soon we'll be married and raise a family

Two boys for her, what about two girls for me

I tell you I am just a fellow with a one track mind

Whatever it is I want baby I seek and I shall find

Every night I hope and pray

Dear lord, hear my plea

Don't ever let another take her love from me

Or I will surely die

Her love is ecstasy

when her arms enfold me

I hear her tender rhapsody

But in reality, she doesn't even know me

Well, It's just my imagination

Running away with me

Just my imaginaaaaaaaaaation

Running away with me.

If I Take A Gun With Me

To commit a crime, it seems part of the plan has to possibly include shooting.

I was responding to the "very weak Washington" comment.........And for the 401st time, comments like that usually come from some dude who looks like a character from REVENGE OF THE NERDS and can't bench press 75 pounds.

So The Gun

Is brought along to itimidate and shoot if the intimidation fails, but not necessarily to murder?

Well

If Hawaii does win that will make non BCS conference teams 3-0 all time in BCS bowl games. Over the Big East, BIG-12 and SEC champs.

Pretty weak lost to Southern Cal by 3 and to Hawaii by 7...............And you show me a criminal without a hood over his face and a gun, and shooting is a strong possibility. And when a gun fires someone may die. I don't CARE what the goon thought beforehand.

I Don't Care What They Call It

And I don't care about the semantics......I just take exception with one guy maybe facing death or life without parole, and the other 10-20 years based on supposition about premeditation. Both should be candidates for the same punishment.

Run Run

I got it...The gun is for possibly shooting at someone but not necessarily to kill. If it kills it's an accident.

JMFQ

I know it's very difficult but try........The last place team of the PAc-10 in not very or pretty weak.

The Measuring Stick

How many teams are there? How many big, fast, ornery guys are coming out of high school these days?

Well, it appears that Raskolnikov should have just killed the second one, then his crime and punishment would be less.

Hold On

Even a playoff wouldn't determine who is best. Just one team would win that one particular playoff tournament. Certainly no one contends that if you have a playoff, whoever wins would automatically win it again if you replayed the whole thing because they are the best.

To determine who is best between say USC and LSU you'd have to match them up head to head in at least a best of 7, probably more.

The Winner Is Not The Best.

That should ruffle the feathers of the nerds.

Ringomon

"extra-point: Anyone who thinks USC deserves a title shot, they beat 2 (yes, two) teams with winning records this year. How does a schedule get any weaker than that?"

I hate to belabor the point but you do understand that wins over a bunch of 5-7, 6-6, teams could be a VERY tough schedule, don't you?

Appalachian State

Is pretty damn good.

Before We Have A Tournament

We have to get passed the only two current criteria used by media and fans to determine good teams----1.)Name of the team and 2.)Won loss record. If it's going to be that anti-intellectual we don't deserve a tournament.

Hopefully

Ohio State will be totally healthy this year.......A wide reciever was hurt last year and that caused 83 total yards.

Monday, December 3, 2007 10:33 AM

Maybe

No means yes.

Monday, December 3, 2007 10:34 AM

And

Even if they did stop it, they could restart it at anytime. I vote pre-emptive strike.

Yes

Champion of that one tournament. Not the best.

You're full of it. When we had Ginn in there we were up 7-0. After just a few seconds....If he plays the whole game we obliterate Florida. Do the math.

I Now De-Elevate

Certainly no one contends that if you have a playoff, whoever wins would automatically win it again if you replayed the whole thing because they are the best.

That's right. No one contends that. So what?

That was sarcasm. Most fans of the team who wins think they are the unqualified best........And if their team finishes undefeated that means they would win any and every theoretical game they play. 13-0 means infinity and 0.

One Sport Without Playoffs

Isn't all bad. The way it is now, we get to enjoy the crashing and crushing thud of fans like nowhere else.........I went to the West Virginia boards late Saturday night and continue to visit. It is bizarre. It's frightening really.
