Considering
[Read the article: I can't believe it's not torture, continued]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]A.)Warrantless wiretapping
B.)Amnesty For those who assist in surveillance.
C.)An endless occupation that the overwhelming majority opposes.
D.)Russia, rearming and reasserting itself, siding with Iran.
E.)Oil prices heading to 100 bucks a barrel.
F.)An estimated eventual 2.4 trillion for occupation-war. A few billion for health care vetoed.
G.)Private contract, mercenary mini-armies running amok, at a hefty profit.
H.)And now Debates about whether torture is torture. The leading candidate of one of the two political parties making flippant references to torture and the prospective new top law enforcement official claiming ignorance on torture.
Bin Laden and al-Zawahiri should make one last video and claim total victory over democracy and move on to full-time party mode with the 70 virgins.

Using Rap Vernacular
[Read the article: I've always preferred "hoo-ha"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]A ho.

The Ridiculous Thing
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]About those plays is that the last 10 or 15 yards there is no one left in front of the guy who scores. The coach should tell the team---when they start that crap you 4 guys run all the way back to the goal line and stand there waiting for the tired out sucker. If one of them makes it there, then run out and greet him at the 5 or 10 yard line.

I Thought
[Read the article: The most interesting debate yet]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hillary did fine on the drivers liscense thingy. She wasn't going to pander to bigotry with an outright no, and wasn't going to give an absolute yes either.
There is not going to be a day, which some seem to be waiting for and think we should do nothing until that day, when the National Guard is going to patrol our cities in buses and round them all up and escort them back to the border.
So we must find ways to integrate them into society in as many ways as possible for the overall good. Like taking a drivers test and getting auto insurance. No absolute yes or no to anything but nothing off the table.

The Colorado Pitchers
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Couldn't be expected to hit well with the layoff.

[Read the article: The most interesting debate yet]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"I defy anyone who watched that debate to tell me what her (Hillary)position was on any issue addressed."
It's either going to be that, or from time to time her changing an absolute position she might have given you once she is President.
Same with any other candidate from either party.

Not Giving A Direct Answer
[Read the article: The most interesting debate yet]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Is a principled stand.

If Hillary Wins
[Read the article: The most interesting debate yet]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]She will be the smartest democratic President of my lifetime. Edging out JFK, LBJ, Carter, and Bill.
Possibly the smartest President in history, any party.

Look You Liberal Whackos
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If the republican base that constitutes 20 percent thinks it's not torture, it's not torture.
In fact that goes for everything now. Whatever that 20 percent thinks or wants.

And These Are The Clowns
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Spreading democracy. The 20 percent.

I Was Thinking About
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Rudy's dismissive and joking references to torture. Nothing is off the cuff at that level of politics. Everything is considered and measured.
Was that his attempt at appealing to the evangelicals?

Reply
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Lou Gehrig (the greatest baseball player of all time.)"
I'm a little suspicious of anyone selecting the greatest of all time from the all-white league. You mean it's impossible that it was someone from the negro leagues?

Life
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Pre-emptive war. Behemoth defense budgets. Private contracting additions to the army. Fudging on torture. The death penalty.
Somebody better reign in the Culture of Life or there's gonna be nobody left.

Boras
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"On the Boras score, the Dodgers might be off the list, since they're reportedly not on speaking terms with him after his client J.D. Drew opted out of his contract with them last year."
The guy must be a real prick (My kinda guy). But how many clients does he have? The Dodgers are scratching them all off the list of possibilities?

God Have Mercy On My Soul
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]But I wouldn't mind seeing Frank Luntz waterboarded. Just for a minute or two.

And
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Krauthammer.

Ass Or Not
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'd still prefer someone calling Gehrig the greatest from the all-white-league.
On a side note, I recall some stand up comic---Lou Gehrig got Lou Gehrig's disease. What are the odds of that?
-
virtue
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]How would we know that the guy knows something? So you torture him and whatever he says doesn't pan out. Then what, re-commence torture?
-
virtue
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Also we need further clarification on the following hypothetical------There's 1,000 people in some Afghan village. We know that one of them knows of a massive terrorist strike somewhere tomorrow........I assume we commence torture on the entire village.
-
He Admitted It
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Gleefully without torture? Is that how we caught him and how we know that he knows? He came in and admitted it?
And the 72 virgin thing gets real old. That's our government giving out simplistic, ridiculous explanations to appease and inflame morons (not mentioning any names of course). Examinations of things like our foreign policy as factors is strictly prohibited.
-
Lastly
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Mr.Virtue, your supposition though sophomoric and full of holes, should include everything. Pliars yanking out finger and toe nails. Electircity to genitals. Whacking off one guys head in front of another guy. WE MUST STOP THE POSSIBLE TERRORIST STRIKE.
How did you allow Osama bin Laden to entice you to discard and forget America is my concluding inquiry.
-
If We KNOW
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That this guys knows about a massive terrorist strike tomorrow we should be able to whack off another guy's head in front of him. Right?
-
Sorry Charlie
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]There's no halfway here. You conservatives need to grow a pair.
You are saving democracy. You are in a clash of civilizations. You are defusing ticking bombs. You are preventing our language from becoming Arabic.
All the people over here that are "emboldening the enemy" need to be tortured when necessary too.
-
There's A Ticking Bomb Alright
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The other day he was talking about World War 3.

Oh No it's 9-11Again
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Joe Biden was right. But it's not only Rudy, it's the rank and file.
-
As Much As These Nuts
[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Bring up 9-11, they must like it. They'd probably like another. I mean what would their campaign be without that? Just anti-immigrant?
