Get it straight----------It's been our army on their land for the last 20 years, not their's on ours.
Boy, that formula has worked well the last 8 years.
And what will never happen, is to stop the over-glorification of the military from all sides.
This almost universal ass-kissing means that whenever they are ordered into battle, anyone who doesn't jump on board right away is anti-troops and anti-America.
At the start of Iraq for example there was just a small group of protestors, dismissed as kooks. Then as the mission becomes a disaster, everyone stands around with their thumbs up their butts hollering about whose fault it is.
We need serious debate when war is proposed or ordered, regardless of what the damn troops think of it.
The over-glorification of the military combined with the Americano WINNING ISN'T EVERYTHING, IT'S THE ONLY THING.
That evidence, no matter how recent, is ignored until after the fact--It's like--Hey, didn't this happen to the Soviets in Afghanistan. Well, we're America, we can win.
Hannity played it with glee..........It's the opening scene from Patton, roaring in front of the huge flag. There's a bunch of cuRSING that had to be bleeped for Hannity to present it on TV, but you got the jist.
It's new words over-dubbed over the Wolrd War Two rhetoric. Now it's a Patton rant about the war on terror. Insulting anyone not up to the challenge.
It's amazing how many millions that this type of thing hits home with. Politicians have to pander to it. Put a General in front of a big flag, and anything he hollers is gospel. Including the cussing and name-calling.
To congratulate Rush Limbaugh today on the 19th anniversary of his national show. He's blowing his own horn, as usual, about it.
I went to the almanacs for the occasion---------In the 5 presidential elections since his show started the republican candidate averaged 46.6 percent of the vote.........In the 5 elections before the start of his show the republican candidate averaged 52.2 percent.
Keep on truckin' Rush. I don't think the 2008 results will help out the trend for you.
A close grouping of 3 shots to the forehead.
Send that soldier to the mountains of the Afghan-Pakistan border as a roving sniper on foot, looking for bin Laden or al-Zawahiri to poke their heads up.
The cops lied their asses off in the Simpson case. The prosecutors and their witnesses must be 100 percent honest or we cannot blame a jury for rejecting them.
Is that this executive power grabbing has been done pandering to the fears, paranoias, and hobgoblins of the red state base.
And the red states are in no danger, whatsoever, from terror. Al-Qaida doesn't give a damn about Cowpile Alabama, or Confederateflagville South Carolina, or Stinking Creek Kansas, or Redneckheaven Mississippi.
They, like the rest of the world, consider America to be New York, California, and Washington DC----the economic, media, governmental, population, and intellectual centers of the country. That is where strikes would be.
And the red-staters spend half their time insulting those 3 places anyhow.
It's all damn silly.
Had his own kind of steroids...........All those years in Atlanta the umps protected little Tommy. Anything up to 3 or 4 inches off the outside corner was the outside corner.
It really was laughable.
But he was a cerebral pitcher. And the umps played right along.
Was a fraud as well for the same reason, but not quite to the extent of Glavine. Smoltz was by far the best pitcher of the famous Braves staff.
The one that the Braves won, was damn near criminal. That monster Cleveland offense was just shut down by the ball-strike calling.
As Bonds is savaged.
I was reviewing Boston Red Sox history. It's something to behold. All of the great all-time Red Sox hitters enjoyed massive advantages in Fenway. Poking doubles off the Green monster etc.....We see 40,50,60 point career differentials with these guys in home and road batting. With Boggs it was nearly 100 points.
No, Bonds would not have had the same stats without steroids. And all the Red Sox sluggers would not have had nearly their career numbers without Fenway.
Of Colorado. Is he possibly a hall of famer some day? Career Home-.367 batting, .464 on base, .664 slugging, 1.128 OPS............road--.293, .393, .500, .893.
That's ballpark performance enhancing.
Find the guys who do it the same home and road. Bonds is almost identical home-road career.
While we are discussing records that won't be broken, Bonds is on pace to walk more than 162 times this year. Have a nice wait for the next 43 year old to do that.
Has not played in about 600 of his teams games and counting and he's been walked over 2,500 times and counting....That's about 9 full seasons of at bats missed due to injury, rest, or bases on balls. Just think what 755 could be.
Sticks and stones
Spent his career in the Seattle Kingdome, which was an absolute all-time joke in terms of allowing tons of homeruns, and then moved on to Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, another banjo park condusive to taters.
His home fields constitute a bigger advantage than steroids.
In San Fransisco that it's 421 feet to right center field. 421 feet. How many homers has that cost Bonds, pre-steroids and steroids?
As you first start to think it will hurt and cause anger. But eventually, or hopefully, that will go away with time and it will become painless and natural.
Is not thinking. It's anti-thinking. And millions upon millions have that opinion.
More anger.
I'm trying to help.
The knee jerk black and white response in anything. Sports politics, you name it.
The thinker knows the world is gray.
