One Good Question

Is why everyone knows and accepts all the records and stats from the old white leagues, but none from the old negro leagues?

It's Pointless

Republicans have already shown their inclination to commute or pardon perjury.

Unless of course the testimony is about a session of oral sex.

It's Laugh To Keep From Crying Time

From now until early 2009.

We have an administration doing whatever the hell they want, and then a guy formerly of FOX News and a right wing radio talk host comes out and gives the official explanations and denials.

As Far As

The Democratic congress being out of control, the Bush administration went the first 6 years without fielding one substantive question about anything from the Republican congress.

It's like they didn't even know that other branch of government was there. Except to perform analingus on the President. Anything but a rubber stamp is out of control.

Almost All Of The Right Wing Love Of The Troops Is Selfish Ego

The troops have to be fighting and dying in order for them to pretend to be more patriotic than other people. Change course? Truces? Scalebacks? Withdraw? Diplomacy? Redeployments? Hell no.

It's as if the soldiers blood is fuel for their little game.

C'mon

Does anyone really think Limbaugh or Coulter has a selfless and honest love of the troops.

It's total bullshit.

But The Soldier's Death Is Not In Vain

They are defending Limbaugh's right to doctor shop and have his maid score some dope for him in a Denny's parking lot. They are defending O'Reilly's right to sexually harass and pay off the victim to hush up. They are defending Coulter's right to say McVeigh should have bombed the New York Times.

As For Hannity's

Love of the troops.

It is simply unimaginable to picture that weenie in the marines.

He's a god damn groupie.

"I read Greenwald on occasion, but not today"

It would have been best to have it all in handwriting to see if that particular sentence had any unusual or stuttery characteristics.

Replace God

With Allah and replace enemy with America and you'd have a muslim support letter for Bin Laden.

No

Bush is not public enemy number one at this point........A possible Brownback presidency is.

The Integrity Of The Game Is Bunk

The Official was not determining, and could not determine who wins and loses. It appears he granted free throws right at the end of games he bet, with the spread in mind.

All he did was screw the chump fans who bet the other way and would have won their bets without the free throws.

Original article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily

My Guess Is

That some of the games he bet he realized he couldn't do anything about it because one team was red hot or whatever and it was a rout. He just did it at the end of games that he bet where the spread was at issue with just a tiny amount of time left in the game.

In Other Words

I'm sure he lost his bet in some of the games he bet on and officiated. In fact he may have been an overall loser in those games.

N.L.Central Update

Since the start of last season my Cardinals are 132-131....That's good for first place in that time frame, 2 1/2 games up on the 2nd place Brewers.

Plus

Those 49er champions had great defenses that went pretty much anonymous and unheralded.

My guess is the primary architect of that was someone other than Walsh.

I'm Not Doubting Walsh

I'm just saying in the grand scheme of championships in sports it's players accounting for at least 90 percent of the reason.

The Pro War Folks

Need to stop with the extensions. The latst from September 2007 until Spring 2008.That's the reason they, and Bush, have been completely tuned out by the overwhelming majority of the population. Who will not believe any positive reports henceforth, and I don't blame them.........The administration and it's supporters need to say----we will continue to report that it's getting better, but it will never be good enough to leave.

Tuesday, July 31, 2007 09:09 AM

September

"You raise some interesting points

Mr Greenwald, but really I don't think we should judge these things until Gen. Petraeus delivers his report in September."

I can give you the September report now if you'd like. I'm psychic---It's getting better but not good enough to leave--- That's the September 2007 report.

The September 2008 report will be---It's getting better but not good enough to leave

The Fascinating Thing

Is that the republican talking heads have always called the New York Times anything from liars to far-left-wing with an agenda to morons to traitors.

Now there is a column in the New York Times saying Iraq is improving so it must be true because it's in the New York Times.

They used to do the same with Clinton. He's a no good liar that can't be trusted about anything, but every now and then he'd say something they agree with so then it's Clinton said it, so it must be true.

Original article: Victory in Iraq?

Victory In Iraq Is Assured

Victory being having 100,000 or more troops in Iraq when the current administration leaves office. Whatever happens after that isn't their fault.

Tuesday, July 31, 2007 10:54 AM

Forget The Definition Of Victory

I'm still waiting for the answer to how many Iraqis have died since the start of the first gulf war under Bush the first. From collateral damage civilians, to the poor schmuck Iraqi army guys in trenches who didn't want to be there detonated into human soup by B-52s, to the bombings and out of control sectarian violence caused by the chaos our invasion created, to illness caused by subhuman conditions, to infant/child neglect and death, same with elderly.

HOW MANY HAVE DIED? Is it more than a million?

Tuesday, July 31, 2007 10:59 AM

I Think We Are Entitled To That Number

In case the death toll ever starts to approach another holocaust that has received so much deserved publicity and sympathy.

I don't see anything about occupying Iraq in any of your quotes.
