Of raptures and limits

Errrr.....in case you can't read, the name is droogoy. It's Russian. Russkie. Dig?

I hear you about population control. However, at least some first world countries are actually experiencing negative population growth (e.g., Austria). Ironically, Americans are probably spared this problem because of illegal immigration.

Nonsense. Illegals are PART of the problem. Without the added 35 million or so, the quality of life would be far better in this country. Fewer drive bys, road rage incidents, crowded ERs, garbage heap cities, etc.

The myth is that we need these people here for some egregious "support". We Don't! The fact that more than ten million returned to Mejico with the worst of the recession shows it. Nor do we need these people to pay our SS monies, Medicare etc. That is another crock of crap.

The Boomers' retirement was forecast and seen as long ago as 1983 and was provided for by Greenspan, Reagan et al increasing the then FICA taxes to what they are now. The drop off in SS monies is the direct result of congressional vermin politicos raiding those funds.

The balance of payments can be re-constituted by: a) henceforth putting all Social security monies into a lockbox as has already been prescribed under the Budget Enforcement Act (1991), and b) forcing the Treasuring to pay back ALL the government raided since Reagan used SS money to try and cover his exploding military -defense deficits.

On point, perhaps you are unaware that YOU and I are currently paying my parent's SS and medicare. And that MY KID will be paying yours.

No problemo. That is how FDR intended it to be set up. I have NO problem paying for my folks' SS knowing that they are independent because of it, and can live a life of dignity. Minus that, they'd have to live with my wife and myself - and it would destroy their sense of autonomy as well as esteem.

So, you won't find me whining. Not one bit. And btw, I expect the same from the next generation. It is a compact between intervening generations.

This is one of those pesky things called FACTS. And, like it or not, you WILL need good young docs to take care of you when you are old.

Whatever....I already have a nice young doc. She is a terrific person. She knows her business and knows also how to respect her elders. She doesn't talk down to me....never, and always conducts her exams properly.

If you can't acknowledge this fact, then you are delusional or perhaps you are waiting to be raptured.

Sorry, as an Atheist I don't buy into that crap.

And I am never ever delusional. Overly pessimistic? Maybe. But never delusional.

Depending on future toddlers- Nyet!

icemilkcoffee wrote:and that your future, and that of your race, depends on these same little human spawns who are, at the moment, acting like little human spawns.

No, they're acting like run amuck brigands and rugrat tyrants. I have seen 'em up close and personal, and I can guarandamn -tee you I have never acted like some wild, feral child. I'd have been clobbered by all adults in my circle (grandmother, nuns, parents) had I done so.

As for humanity depending on those "spawn" for its future, no way. There are already too damn many humans. Birth rates need to be reduced to barely replacement now, meaning no more than about 1.8 kids per family.

American kids are the most consumptive parasites in the universe, "eating up" more than 15 cubic hectares of resources before they turn 18. They especially must be limited. If people want kids, fine, let them adopt from India, Nigeria, etc. But don't bring any more fat white babies and consumers into the world.

All parents who have kids should receive no more tax credits, period. They ought to instead be levied with a $1500 a kid resource drain tax each year. People with more than the replacement number of kids need to be sterilized- males with vasectomies, women with tubes tied.

Finally, as I have propose since 1978, ALL prospective parents need to pass a parenting license test before being allowed to breed. We don't let people drive unless they have a drivers' license, and how much more the vast ill effects on society and the planet when untutored, ragamuffin people posing as parents unleash their grubby spawn on the world.

As to the nutcase that called me a "sociopath", it just shows how far removed from what used to be the child rearing realities in this country. Which, btw, happened to turn out the 'Greatest generation'.

What a great post!

Laurel1962 wrote:As far as wanting your spoiled brats caring for me in a nursing home -- well I'm not worried on that count. They'd probably be incapable of doing that sort of caring yet difficult work, too spoiled and engrossed in their own pleasure. I'm sure they will all grow up to be little hedge fund managers, and the real people working in the nursing homes of 2050 will more likely be 3rd world immigrants...raised by people who have not forgotten entirely how to bring up or discipline children, and therefore whose kids have grown into responsible, caring adults and not spoiled yuppie whelps.

What terrific sentiments, and you have expressed exactly how I feel! There are just too many untrained, untamed whelps running around this country.

I could not believe some unhinged wacko actually had the nerve to criticize my parents and granda as 'beasts and cowards' for having the intestinal fortitude to exact discipline when needed.

I just hope I never meet that person's kid (whelp brat, descenced from a feral rat) anytime on a plane soon.

Thanks again, Laurel. All kids, every last one, ought to get 5 uamp of ECT from birth.
