But this wouldn't be the first time WC provided evidence was altered or tampered with. John Newman, in his own book, uses FOIA released documents to clearly show how the WC altered the FPCC exhibit (e.g. of the FPCC handbills Oswald was handing out), see Newman, J., 1995, Oswald and the CIA', Carroll & Graf

    Publishers, 2nd photo page after p. 300.

It's yammering like in this thread that exposes the inanity behind the conspiracy nuts.

No - it's yammering like yours that shows much of this nation is still in denial.

Mainly the bozos who haven't even read any of the documents, records yet - especially from the HSCA investigation, which easily trumps the WC Whitewash.

The facts of this case are not very difficult to comprehend. It was Oswald's gun,

No it was a plant. A prop. There is no unimpeachable evidence linking Oswald to the killing:

    - No palm prints were on the rifle when first found (According

to S.F. Latonia, head of FBI Latent Fingerprints Section )

    - Two men were already seen in the bldg. 6th floor at 12.15 p.m. by Arnold Rowland, Carolyn Walther and Ruby Henderson

    - No traces of nitrate were found on Oswald's face, though this is not 100% conclusive

    - there was no evidence the alleged rifle had ever been fired

    - the only bullet (CE399) linked to the rifle differed in composition from the fragments recovered in the limo, based on the neutron activation analysis tests

    - the rifle originally found by four law enforcement officers (one of whom used to work in a Sporting Goods store- selling rifles) was identified as a Mauser - not a Mannlicher-Carcano. This same Mauser was reported taken into the TSBD two days prior to the assassination.

he was seen in the window, his prints were found in the sniper's nest, and he shot a cop a half-hour later

See above. All codswallop. And the closest witness (not called by the WC) to the Tippett shooting was Acquilla Clemmons who clearly reported the shooter was a 5' 7" or so stubby guy with a hat, not the 5' 9", 160 lb. Oswald.

Was Ms. Clemmons just a "random miss"? A coincidential foul up? Hell no! No less than 200 material witnesses were excluded from giving testimony, including:

Tom Alyea (who allegedly first filmed the sniper's 'nest'),

Charles A. Crenshaw (Parkland surgical resident at the time - who initially observed the head wound, Julia Ann Mercer, William Harper (who found the bone fragment); Guy Banister (who ran the 544 Camp St.office from which Oswald distributed leaflets); Joseph Milteer (the right wing zealot who had been taped by an FBI informant in Miami predicting and verifying the events of Nov. 22; Sergio Archacha Smith, Mary Moorman- who took the Moorman photos, Silvia Duran, consul employee who could have testified to the identity of the 'Oswald' seen in Mexico City; Gordon Arnold (who was standing on the grass in front of the knoll's picket fence when a percussion from a shot made him hit the dirt - he was later sent to Alaska); Orville Nix - who took the Nix film, Mary Muchmore, whose original film was cut/mutilated on return, at the instant of the head shot; Richard Case Nagell - so concerned with having an alibi for November 22, that he fired a pistol at a blank wall so as to be in jail.

Is there method in this palpable madness? Yes, and it is buried in the notorious Katzenbach Memo issued to Bill Moyers, dated 25 November, 1963. Therein lies the smoking gun of the agenda of the Warren Commission. It read in part:

"The public must be satisfied that Oswald was the assassin, that he did not have confederates who are still at large; and that the evidence was such that he would have been convicted at trial".

I leave it to readers to draw their own conclusions on this. To me, it seems pretty damned clear. The WC charge was to find Oswald- and only Oswald - guilty in order to kill any talk of conspiracy. The fact the poor man wasn't even around to represent himself made it a veritable "turkey shoot". Or maybe more like shooting fish in a barrel.

Oswald was just what he claimed he was, "a patsy". Some in the research community even suspect he may have been the one trying to get a warning message out about the imminence of the hit.

If this is indeed the case, Oswald is a hero. All this might have come out anyway, had not Ruby conveniently offed him to silence him.

The fact that so many people still feign ignorance, or actively advocate it, is appalling. It shows me that we will never get out of the corporate-PR -media whore grip anytime soon. Our nation is hostage to media whores and dissemblers, and as Michael Parenti has noted, these same whores have impeded the examination of state power run amuk - when harnessed to eliminate a "difficult" head of state.

William Pitzer (a Bethesda physician) had originally reported, the body was altered

Just checked my research notes, JFK files again in my -P- file folder and box, in my library file & documents room.

Pitzer was actually an Audio -video technician at the National Naval Medical Center. He was in possession of film disclosing the true nature of JFK's wounds, at the time he was killed.

The killers undoubtedly worried that Pitzer would spill the beans and give away the whole ruse.

The details of the Pitzer case are laid out in Kent Heiner's book, Without Smoking Gun, 2004.
