The popular view promoted by our propaganda press is that “Worldwide energy demand is outstripping supply.” This is a successful fable.
Anglo-American policy for a near-century has been to strangle Iraqi oil supply to benefit any malleable Arabs who play ball with Big Oil and its protection racket run by right-wing U.S. politicians.
To wit, the Iraqi invasion was highly successful in virtually cutting off Iraq’s access to add to world supply.
Several people angrily ask for us to release our medical records. I am not running for President.
And they also ask rhetorically how much time I spent imprisoned or tortured? The obvious implication is that torture has an impact and leaves scars. Damn, that’s exactly the point, isn’t it? That’s exactly why any former prisoner now aspiring to be president must release his records.
It would also be nice to know why McCain skipped town when the torture veto had to voted on.
My blog suggestion was to make a joke of it and I wanted a contest of what Michelle might be saying to Obama.
My starting-off entry was “Now that’s a WMD.” Didn’t see any other entries – deer frozen in the headlights of a fascist train.
Adolf Hitler is alive and well in the basement of the White House and writing emails for McBush
@al loomis blames Americans for returning Bush. Some people truly don't care about others or the world, to wit, driving 5 tons of steel to Starbucks just because they have the money to show off how selfish they are. Others might care if only ....
However, America has been under the spell of propaganda. The corporate-owned media are beholden to their right wing owners orthe government muzzle on account of government contracts by their owners (GE). Just turn on Bloomberg or CNBC to hear the steady stream of ideologues still calling for more tax cust, fewer regulations, freee markets, and the entire discredited Reagan philosophy, even this very day.
The poblem is that Americans hear only proapganda. There is only one view with slight shades of the same view - all propaganda. Whenever I hear garbage about "libersl media" I smile. Where?
Inevitably, the mention is the NY Times. The Times is the last imperial newspaper, by the Emprite, for the Emporie and about the Empire, with a wider menue written in better Englsih than te Post. To wit, the lies the Times spead about Georgia/Russia in the service of McCain as an election stunt.
There is no lieral media left - it's all propaganda. So, the Neanderthal policies of Americans ought to be partially blamed on our propagand media, esp. The War Street Journal and Faux News.
My typing isn't what is used to be - my apologies - once again, sans gremlins.

Could someone please let me know what is so horrid about socialism? I see it as capitalism with a social conscience.
The OMB tells us that 5% of American own over 80% of America. Is that good for the other 95%?
A handful of billionaires owns more than 20% of the entire world; That's over a billion men, women and children. Is that good?
Of course, it is a mandate.
A liberal mandate.
The corporate-owned media called every Republican election a mandate. Go to your library.
Now the fascist media must try to belittle a true mandate.
There is at least one blogger here (mrunpc) ranting about Hussein (predictable) and communist Obama (forgot your medicine?)and other looney tunes that prove him to be the American version of Hezbollah, the Party of God.
Or do they now let inmates onto PCs in mental homes?
There is nothing more enjoyable than watching right-wing nutcase extremists stepping on their own “teabags.”
Let’s not ignore that these extremists are now invoking talk of a revolution. In a democracy that’s called “elections.” Unless, of course, they really want to overthrow America – which I wouldn’t put past them considering their spiritual leader Drugster Limbaugh openly called for our government to fail.
On the other hand, I recall a saying by Goethe: nothing is more frightful than ignorance in action.
No rational people can become so unhinged.
There is only one rational explanation: Rush is back on drugs and Newt is his pusher man.
