My first thought when I heard this was, "Rats leaving a sinking ship." Then I realized that I was incorrect.
It is obvious that Rove is leaving so that his communications will no longer be covered by Federal retention laws. He's still going to be the dick (no, the other Dick) we've always known.
All I can say is, WTF? Is he trying reverse-reverse psychology? Maybe this is all just a cry for help.
They had it totally backwards!
You don't put bacon in bourbon -- you put bourbon in the bacon! In the brine solution using the wet curing process, to be precise. It makes for fantastic bacon.
Don't ruin bourbon by putting bacon in it. Ever.
That choice would do wonders for McCain with the southern evangelicals that he's already doing so well with.
I think the entire Obama campaign would be doing the Happy Dance if that was his choice. Yes, I'd be dancing too.
For the sake of national security, we need to make sure that the door to Cheney's bunker locks -- from the outside!
I'm disappointed.
I also fully expect the GOP to pile on him for going negative ,which he said he wouldn't do.
I expected better.
If it really is as bad as you describe, then I have to agree that it is a really bad idea.
Wait... how about statues? Will they have statues? I'm imagining the Democratic Pantheon with Roosevelt, JFK, RFK, even Clinton. That'd be great! (no, not really)
I can only hope that they're trying to do some kind of throw-back to the origins of democracy and that it'll be tasteful by the time it's done.

I have to admit that you're more qualified tham I am. That said, I've still been to more countries than Palin -- even if she counts refueling stops.
I'd like to talk about energy....
What a f'ing nightmare. These people scare the living hell out of me.
We're so proud.
Just one thing: Please don't judge Louisville by the rest of the state.
Thanks for posting the UniBall note.
I needed a chuckle.
Too bad it isn't seven words. That would easily lend itself to an instant tribute to the late George Carlin.

For Bush? I don't think so.
Did anyone else raise eyebrows at a couple of the more inclusive lines in Warren's invocation?
I feel better now.
Time to get to work!
Oh, someone will go to court to try and prove that Obama isn't President -- the same way that the whack-jobs keep trying to prove that he isn't American.
The poem was horrible -- really, really bad.
I'm sorry, but it was definately a low point in the proceedings. They should have just played the musical number again.
They told me to stay away from the red button, so it must be importanticant.
Just thought you should know.
I'm consistantly surprised by the left-wing bloggers (and posters) who seem to think that they posess some brilliant insight that has escaped Obama.
I realize that we've had eight years where that would be a reasonable presumption to make, but people have to come to grips with the fact that Obama is smarter than they are, probably by a wide margin.
I don't agree with every decision he's made, but I've yet to see evidence to support the idea that he doesn't know what he's doing every step of the way.
That was, by far, the least satisfying of all the "wingnut" columns that I've seen. The arguments were weaker and the overall position was very poorly defended.
Socialized health care systems aren't desirable because they haven't collapsed "yet"? The idle speculation that they will next week/month/year/decade/century is a very poor argument.
The opinion of one anonymous "expert" (lobbyist?) isn't much more convincing. Was it very difficult to find this "expert" with no given credentials.
It sounded a lot like the Wingnut simply didn't have a valid argument and decided to toss out a half-hearted effort and hope that no one would notice. If these really are the best arguments against socialized health care, then it should be implimented tomorrow.
I had come to expect better from this column.
"The United States remains a center-right country composed of people who believe in center-right values, like family, hard work and honesty."
What the fuck??? "Honesty" is a center-right value? "Family" is only for conservatives?
Screw you -- twice!!
Thanks for saving me the time of reading your garbage again. While I thought this feature would hold some promise and be interesting, you've proven yourself to be as bad as Rush, Sean, Glenn and the rest of your ilk.
I thought "Wingnut" was just a humorous title. It turns out that it is disappointingly accurate.
Can we get a "death panel" to put them to sleep?
Will Olberman's "special comment" for his entire show help pass health care reform? There will never be a valid or definitive answer, but I can't fault the guy for trying.
If there was one thing made perfectly clear, it is that he genuinely cares about this issue. I fail to see why that's a bad thing.
Now fix it and get it right.
For a while now, I've been of the opinion that the GOP is destined to split. I don't see how one party can successfully contain moderates like Crist, Powell, Hutchenson, etc and fanatics like Bachmann, Palin and the Tea Partiers.
Heck... the wingnuts make Hatch look like a reasonable moderate at times.
