Claude Allen. His twin did it?

I don't think so. The Montgomery County police would not be so foolish as to not know who - from the White House of all places - they arrested.

"(Police spokesman Lt. Eric) Burnett said Montgomery police contacted the White House to verify Allen's identity after the Jan. 2 incident. " (WaPo, 11 March)

Besides, it's over. He admitted it.

"(Allen) admitted to a Target Corp. investigator that he fraudulently returned merchandise that he didn't buy at one of the company's stores in Gaithersburg, charging documents show." (Wash. Times, Metro Section, 15 March)

Now, like Iran-Contra, will he get off on one of those pesky "legal technicalities" conservatives hate so much but use so often; or will he have to wait for the usual White House pardon?

9-11 DETAINEES ABUSED IN NY

Tapes Show Abuse of 9/11 Detainees

Justice Department Examines Videos Prison Officials Said Were Destroyed

By Dan Eggen, Washington Post Staff Writer, Friday, December 19, 2003; Page A01

Hundreds of videotapes that federal prison officials had claimed were destroyed show that foreign nationals held at a New York detention facility after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks were victims of physical and verbal abuse by guards, the Justice Department's inspector general said yesterday....

...The report concluded that as many as 20 guards were involved in the abuse, which included slamming prisoners against walls and painfully twisting their arms and hands. Fine recommended discipline for 10 employees and counseling for two others who remain employed by the federal prison system. He also said the government should notify the employers of four former guards about their conduct....

...One focus of the report was an American flag T-shirt that hung from a wall at the MDC with the slogan, "These colors don't run." Four corrections employees told investigators that the shirt, which hung in a prisoner receiving area for months, was covered with bloodstains, including some that appeared to have come from detainees being slammed into the wall....

Original article: Col. Boylan's denial

It's time to ask Boylan's bosses

Boylan has been shown to be an incompetent officer and deliberately biased. That he is in a position that has him responding to the public media so poorly and biased should be reason for his removal and discharge.

With his own words and actions, Boylan has thoroughly hung himself. It is time to move on and demand answers from his superiors in Iraq and in Washington if Boylan’s now obvious bias represents them, their policy, and that of the U.S. Army. If not, they need to explain why he still holds office as the public face to the media.

Note: Speaking as a former officer, if he was working for me, he'd be pulling duty at the motor pool wash rack while awaiting reassignment (or discharge).

Now Kerry should change the terms, one more time!

If he wins the check should go to a different organization. I suggest MoveOn.org! You know, just to see the Reich-wing heads explode. My-Tee-fine-Tee-Vee!

Who said anything about Vengeance?

"And he could seek truth without vengeance*."

Who said anything about Vengeance?

Please. I, and I'm sure many of your readers, would be quite happy if you used the correct word. The correct word is, "Justice".

* You mean like Wilson-Plame kind of vengeance?
