Georgia versus Iraq

The article by Juan Cole comparing Russia's actions in Georgia with the U.S. actions in Iraq misses the mark on serveral important points. The U.S. invasion of Iraq was in compliance with UN resolutions and a direct result of Iraq's continued non-compliance with multiple UN resolutions for several years. What were the Georgian's guilty of other than being a former part of Czarist Russia and the former Soviet Union? The inability of Juan Cole to see the complete lack of symmetry between Russia's invasion of Georgia and the situation with Iraq leaves one with a simple conclusion .... you can't see what you don't want to.

McCain and e-mail

OK, let me get this right .... there is something seriously wrong with McCain because he isn't a fan of email? Given a choice of someone who is busy using email versus someone that has the experience to help save Western civilization from the challenges of terrorism and a resurgent Russia which would I choose? I pick McCain. You can email with Obama all you want.
