Original article: "Monsters vs. Aliens"

@Rookie

seriously? watch the Incredibles, Ratatouille and WALL-E. If you have then you must be cold as ice to think those characters are boring: there is so much psychological depth in those characters (even the shitty human ones in WALL-E)! And plot? For-freakin-geddaboutit! You obviously haven't seen them.

Original article: Is Obama wrong?

Here, here!

thanks Joan. Geithner scares the bejeezus out of me -- he's clueless as to a "new way forward". forget about redistributing wealth; redistribute the power and see if that doesn't shake things up.

Islamist fascism? No such thing!

Mr. Horowitz is a bright guy, so I must believe that he knows what he's doing with the term "Islamic fascism". There is no such thing. Fascism requires a marriage of government, military and corporate power. The radical Islamic movement works in conjunction with neither recognized governments (Taliban possibly excepted) nor corporate entities.

This is exactly the sort of overestimation Horowitz deplores in the rest of his column.

Hypocrite much?
