Yes, it really is a great American tragedy that Hillary doesn't get to be president

Did anybody bother to think that it might just depend on WHO the dandidate was. Cause Jackson and Al Shaprton are black and they couldn't get elected dog catcher.

No, Joan, though I am sorry that people have been sexist and disrespectful to Sen. Clinton in a way that no one deserves, I have to say that the fact that a rich white woman isn't going to get her turn at the presidency is not really keeping me up at night especially when I consider:

30% of black males have been incarcerated

The number one killer of black males is homicide

Kids continue to get killed almost daily in the town where I live- Chicago and guess what they are, that's right! Black Males.

I am pretty sure all the rich white girls in Park Ridge are more than comfortable in their beds tonight (especially at 3am)

Actually, Joan, how about this, let's say we offer everyone the chance to either be a white woman and suffer sexism or a black male and suffer racism while trying not to get shot. What do you think that survey would look like?

Well, here's why we need good reporters

Has anyone else noticed that most of the bloggers are begging their readers to let them know if they find anything in the returns that are out of the ordinary? C'mon guys! You get paid to do this now start providing value instead of just recycling stupid narratives or crap that is plain as day.

As far as the return goes, these tactics are a lot of smoke for there to be no fire. My own guess is that the returns will show that the Clintons had some shady tax shelters and most importantly probably profited off of investments in companies who heavily outsourced (what's the $285K foreign tax credit for?). Yikes!

If true, then the outsourcing would be a narrative that everyone could understand and Hillary might have some 'splaining to do to all those folks in Ohio who she relied on to get her win.

The best thing about this article

is that it is so over-the-top that it might as well be a press release from the Clinton campaign. Seriously, Joan, et.al, I hope you guys got paid to run this because basically it is nothing more than a very verbose ad.

Oh and one of the many many bad things about this 'article' is that it doesn't address how Obama might have altered his campaign strategy to account for such a system. Sen. Obama campaigned within the framework of the contest in the best way to win. That's what you do when a contest has rules - you come up with a strategy to win based on those rules. If the rules were different, then the strategy would be different.

Only small children try to change the rules at the end of a contest to enusre that they will win.

Eh?

So he compared one successful black man with another successful black man. Oooooohhh.

Um unless of course he meant that Tiger Woods is also of mixed parentage.

Either way, who cares?

Is there a point to this? Don't we have better things to be outraged about?

BTW I am an Obama supporter so save your flames

Um, were you watching his speech last night?

Obama all but called Hillary the better candidate. Good lord people, just what does he have to do? I am not sure him going around hat in hand to every top female Clinton supporter he can find begging for their forgiveness because Hillary can't run a campaign is a very good idea.

I am not sure why Obama was the one who had to stand up for Hillary when she sure didn't mind using Wright or Bittergate or 'taking him at his word' about being a Muslim when she got the chance. If situations were reversed would we be expecting some kind of mea culpa tour from her?

Is this some kind of bizarre exercise in chivalry that Obama is supposed to make? She took her shot. She lost. All of this talk about not embarrassing her or making sure everyone's feelings aren't hurt seems kind of patronizing to me.

Ignore Joan. Clinton-supporter Hillary Rosen said it best

"So, I am also so very disappointed at how she has handled this last week. I know she is exhausted and she had pledged to finish the primaries and let every state vote before any final action. But by the time she got on that podium last night, she knew it was over and that she had lost. I am sure I was not alone in privately urging the campaign over the last two weeks to use the moment to take her due, pass the torch and cement her grace. She had an opportunity to soar and unite. She had a chance to surprise her party and the nation after the day-long denials about expecting any concession and send Obama off on the campaign trail of the general election with the best possible platform. I wrote before how she had a chance for her "Al Gore moment." And if she had done so, the whole country ALL would be talking today about how great she is and give her her due.

Instead she left her supporters empty, Obama's angry, and party leaders trashing her. She said she was stepping back to think about her options. She is waiting to figure out how she would "use" her 18 million voters.

But not my vote. I will enthusiastically support Barack Obama's campaign. Because I am not a bargaining chip. I am a Democrat. "

Extremely well said.

Important correction to your article.

As a single parent I can tell you that children are not to be put in the front seat until they are 12. So the idea of putting a child seat in the front seat of this car (or any car with passenger airbags) is extremely dangerous.

I live in Chicago and would love to have this for the same reasons that Farhad outlines but I am afraid this car is an impossibility for anyone with a child under 12.
