Original article: Waiting for Obama

WHAT IS HE WAITING FOR.

Obama was elected to bring us together, to cross the aisle, to talk to enemy to unleash the audacity of hope. I voted for him because of this and other things.

I hope that he has awakened to the fact that the Republicans want the White House back at any cost, nothing is too vile or hateful---they are a closed door.

Dictators can not be convinced to give up power; and they have plenty of hate to spare. Talking works, but only, when you are conversing with reasonable people. The world is full of unreasonable people.

Infrastructure, education, health care and much more can avoid a swamp of debt one way only. Taxes.

Being overly interested in 2012 while hobble Obama much more than wing nut talk hosts or the Republican Party.

Make it happen, even if you must bring them aboard screaming and kicking.

OWN UP TO IT

He should not be judged by one mistake. But, he should own up to it...Mia Cuppa! He was no more aggressive on regulation than Reagan.

GOOD AT WORD PLAY

Hey I remember eight years of torturous word play. It's not an insurgency, mission accomplished, we have enough troops, WMD and too many others.

Now Cheney and Rove, two the most secretive liars we have ever had to face, can say (and their ears do not fall of) openness and transparency.

I think we should agree to their request, right after they announce their true name Fascist Republicans. What they did with the war, the Justice Department and the Constitution is unquestionable evidence of Fascist behavior.

A TEA PARTY RIGHT OUT OF ALICE IN WONDERLAND

The Republicans are suffering from Minority Hysteria.

Culture is not fixed and never has been.

Back in the good old days when Christianity was winning the battle against evil they won by burning people alive at the stake, torturing them to accept God and His ways and hanging witches. Now they are down to creating fearful paranoia.

What they should try is looking into humanism, ethics without intolerant narrow concepts. Religious humanistic naturalism, that embraces the entire universe. Science has given us more relief from human suffering than any religious practice.

Religions on the other hand have all contributed to mass sufferings through ignorance, and war (the Crusades for one).

No religion is free from hypocrisy. Those who rant against homosexuality have and do practice it. Those who praise abstinence commit child abuse and protect those who do from the law. Financial abuse abounds.

Think Haggard, Swaggart, the Bakers and too many others.

How many Christians really practice the golden rule, how many really believe it it more difficult for the rich to enter heaven than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle.

Read the Sermon on the Mount; was Jesus the greatest socialist that ever lived?

DONT KILL THE HOST

Literally, like fleas on a dog, we too are parasites. The earth is a living organism, we must be careful not to kill the host.

Original article: The economy crumbled

NO FOOL LIKE A GREEDY FOOL

If Greenspan actually believed that greed is self regulating, what was he on, that is beyond delusion.

The stock market functions on the greater fool theory. I buy a stock confident that a greater fool will buy it for more, he buys assured that there will yet be a greater fool. Nothing passes hands except money, nothing is created, there is nothing really going on there but a more accepted Ponzi game.

If the market was rational, and represented reality, there would be no explosive growth and the numbers might even represent something, especially if more was gained from dividends, a distribution of real profits. Sharing those profits with the stock holders. Rather that corporate officers whose main function has become not operating a growing profitable firm over the long term, but quarterly performance that boosts the stock price, and their stock bonuses.

THE FUTURE

I have no idea when, but eventually health care and pensions will be nationalized.

HOW WILL WE SURVIVE

I feel sorry for Faux News, Hannity and Rush Limpballs - nothing but whining and crow pie for eight years.

PANIC PANIC PANIC

The panicky do panicky things in panicky times - there is nothing else to do - duck, cover and throw squirrel ball - watch him doge the traffic in the road.

WHEN IT'S OVER IT'S OVER

You have to feel sorry for him, but - he's doing it to himself.

If he wants to go "soft" on Rush Limpballs - why not.

LET'S TALK SERIOUS TALK

I have felt so deprived from serious conversation about this campaign, how relieved I was to come across this election changing piece.

LOSERS LYING ABOUT WHY THEY WILL LOSE

General Powell Chairman on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Leader of Desert Storm (the one we won) and former Secretary of State endorses Obama; and the over ripe fruit starts to fall from the trees.

You can probably salvage a fruit cake from their rantings but nothing that anyone would want to eat.

His endorsement spoke clearly as to why Obama - and vigorously as to why not McCain.

The Republicans who won in 2000 by stealing the vote with one Supreme Court Vote, who ran vicous slanderous and underhanded campaigns in the last two campaigns are livid that their tactics are not working this time.

Their anger is clearly shown by the angry, erratic and hyperactive dangerous man they have chosen as their candidate.

YOU WANT TO TALK LACK OF PATRIOTISM

If Cindy really wants to talk about a lack of patriotism she only has to have a conversation with Sarah's husband. A man who belongs or belonged to a group that spews there hate of the U.S., and their desire to cut loose from that stinking U.S.

Much like the Wright story, Sarah put up with the group leaders ranting as well as her own husband's. My hubby the patriot.
