Silly me, I thought the rules applied to EVERYONE

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salon_(gathering)

The problem with salon.com is that its name is rather meaningless. Anyone with access to a computer can join. In fact, a cursory look at the political threads dicussing Obama and Clinton make clear that the riff-raff are more than here. They are beginning to dominate. Those threads are now ugly with racists and sexists of all stripes who are usually incapable of staying on topic or discussing the pros and cons of the actual article given. They would rather spew hate.

You can parse out how to get rid of those who are disagreeable to your delicate sensibilities.

But the reality is that there is not ONE agreed upon politically correct position on this web site, at least I do not think there is NOR should there be.

To call everyone you disagree with 'riff raff' is funny. I, among others, have long considered modern feminism to be full of sexist man haters. But the standard position in generic PC society is that "men=bad. women=good."

Maybe the problem is that we men offer a civic situation where you women can make your demands while ignoring men's demands.

Maybe the whole premise of civilized society needs to be abandoned if men cannot get a fair hearing without being shut out of every public forum by PC ninnies.

Maybe the assumptions under which guys operate need to be adjusted. Maybe we men are too open to being picked at by women while feeling strangely abandoned and alone in our shells.

These are just observations by me. I do not like to be clobbered over the head EVERYWHERE that my opinions are not welcome just because a group of people, Feminists (fascists, really) was 100% successful in needling every nook and cranny of society until it completely and utterly rejected the voices of men at every turn.

Do feminists realize they pull these stunts? Or is this the level of cynicism women game us men with, knowing we have no where to turn to be heard?

I need to know, so I can treat women the same way in retaliation.

those are the GUYS' jobs

It's just going to prevent you from having to face some uncomfortable truths. If you don't face those uncomfortable truths you're going to have that much more trouble overcoming your problems.

Not that you have any problems. I'm just sayin'.

Guys' roles are to turn uncomfortable truths into palatable lies and to spoon feed them to women. the guys do the jumping and jiving and compromising of themselves.

Women never have to change, they are in the catbird seat. Like the devil, they just sit there and accept men's blood donations.

Walter

I did read the other link-- essentially, it is "How to Succeed with Women 101".

Wished I'd read all of that when I was 14. It should be required reading for ALL boys.

It would take the air out of the witches' sails. God forbid guys should be on the same level field as women. No, the feminist answer, instead let only the natural born players have their run of women, get the women all bIttered up by the time they reach 30, and let us AFCs get the sour leftovers-- UNMARRIAGEABLE ANGRY LEFTOVERS.

AKA You are right

I just click Newest First. Then it I can see the name of the poster more immediatly and know who not to read. Ideally, the poster's name would be both at the top and bottom. Even more ideal would be an actual ignore button.

I and most of my male friends ignore feminist women all the time.

A great society, everyone talking PAST each other, COURTESY OF FEMINISM.

This precisely describes my current relationship

If you don't chase them they won't have to tell you to stop.

Let them chase you. It solves a whole universe of problems.

The Reality Factor says that happily married women who are flexible givers, with high Interest Levels, never seem to get headaches or feel tired. How astonishing! In fact, these women chase their husbands around the coffee table after the kids go to sleep. She doesn't need any aphrodisiacs because he is respectful, affectionate and romantic.

I love her and she chases me. Perfect.

Oh, and you can bet she is NOT American.

Once again, Le selects how to try to destroy me

Does anyone remember when Brightstar said that his perfect woman is someone like Camille Paglia?

That seemed very gay, and a classic closeted move -- say that only women who are impossible, for whatever reason, to get are the ones good enough for you, and then you never have to date women.

Right, I LOVE Paglia because she is not a whiny, finger pointing chump, unlike most American women.

It is a 'no-win' you women live to set up-- If I say "too bad she is lesbian, huh?", then you can rip me for imagining she could be into me. If I say nothing, well, then it MUST be because she is inaccessible.

The gatekeepers have a massive ego that NEVER lets up. They will give you the terms of your destruction at the hands of the feminist Borg mind society. BUT THEY WANT RESPECT ANYWAY.

I will fight feminism til my last breath. It is utterly EVIL.
