I respect your right to criticize me
[Read the article: Working women's wife envy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and you make some interesting points, but I mostly disagree with you. We see things two different ways.
I bristle at the way feminists have been haranguing men in this country for well near 40 years (or more). I grew up in this miasma caused by god-knows-what-happened-here-to-make-women-so-bitter-and-entitled and am just gaining my legs now and realizing I was fed a bunch of false information as a boy and young man designed to thwart me from going after what I WANT and to make me feel bad about myself merely because I have a penis in my pants.
If women are weak, sure my criticisms will sting. Strong women will laugh it off, take it to heart, or consider and counter it or incorporate it into their sphere of knowledge. They do not need people to defend them. Unless you consider the women to be too weak and stupid too defend themselves, which means women should HATE you, not me.
As for the 'cackle' comments. Women in this country feel free to chop into men of all sorts for all sorts of reasons. I have stated over and over that the passive male stance to ignore women and feminists is not working. The position of power for men is to counter silly female criticism with COUNTER criticism, for many reasons. For one, it makes women realize what they put out hurts men and is of little to no value. For another it frees the men to begin to realize women are not GODS or above them.
Somehow I feel you disagree and think women are above you. Or maybe it is your unconscious ploy to get into women's pants to agree with them all the time. Don't worry, LOTS OF MEN are like this. False men in my opinion.
So why do men have to rip into each other anyway? Respect my position. What is it to you? Are we all that SMALL to not need or want multiple viewpoints about gender from men? is it all about the PROGRAMMING?
Which leads me to: why are all the media lauded books on gender written by women? Even the ones who dissect or analyze MEN? When men write, it is summarily dismissed, even when the books receive 4.5 ratings (out of 5) and the women's books are rated 2.5
Sorry I do not cede gender issues SOLELY to women, unlike many men. And I do not CONCEDE these issues either, unlike most men.
Again, what's it to you? Does it offend you that I might be RIGHT?

Devil's Advocate
[Read the article: Working women's wife envy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Considering the relative numbers of women compared to men who have chosen to give up sex because there is no one worthy of them men certainly seem to have a legitimate concern (if not an ideal way of addressing it).
Who said men deserve sex or life anyway? You think you men deserve a life? You should be grateful you were even born (even if it means most of you only get to imagine having a sex life). Only women are in charge of sex! Women will determine which, if any, of you men ever have sex again. But thanks for asking.
If everything is split 50/50 except that women are completely in charge when it comes to sex, relationships, who is entitled to a life, etc. then things are not really equal overall.
Equality? HA! You believed us feminists about that dribble? Shows you what YOU use to think with!
Get this: the clitoris rules, not the penis. You men suck wee wee. Nyah, nyah!!

Important to separate
[Read the article: Working women's wife envy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]the so called 'patriarchy' from men's personal survival instincts.
Two totally different things. The patriarchy largely exists as a fictional creation, but its closest analog in the real world is designed by the elites not to separate people by gender, but by class. No one would argue that Bush's daughters do not benefit greatly from the current system while poor women have often even POORER men besides them. The classic fictitious patriarchy fails the count in both cases- two VERY TYPICAL CASES.
Men's instinct to survive is different, it is largely underground, secretive, and individual, but relies on individual men picking up the 'stick' and using it to their needs.
Rightly, women attack men from all angles. Women often feel underprivileged for some reason despite OWNING the homefront and, increasingly, the workplace due to their natural sexual advantages. Probably largely, the attacks on men stem from the female ego, the ego that equates man with unquenchable and wanton random lust and nothing more, which, when you know how complex and wonderful men really are, is also a fiction. It is a fiction women's minds largely created because women WISH they could navigate their own lives in a wantonly lustful way. We know the reality is that most men are good people who do not just screw around (of course if all women focus only on the few men who screw around, in THEIR world, that is all they know). But facts never got in the way of a good story.
The fictitious patriarchy was created so women can have a common beast to attack.
Since women have largely 'won' this battle, the onus is now on men and the ball is in our court. Men are geniuses in a way. We let them mouth off at us for decades. Now the cretin (feminism) is nearly spent, bankrupt, and the women digging themselves a deeper hole whenever they refuse to face off on OUR terms. Increasingly, WE men own the argument.
All this savage instinct on men's part to make ourselves a valid place is real and based on societal survival. there is a reason ZERO societies on the planet exist today that are run totally by women. It is because women, when given the CHOICE TOTALLY refuse to procreate. Sex is jut not that important. Excitement is, manipulation is, leaving men twisting in the wind is, but sex?
