I think some of us overeducated men forget that women choose alpha for the reason that they want potential progeny to succeed.

What chance does a button down mousy accountant of a guy have of producing the next Ghengis Khan down the line?

Better to choose an obnoxious asshole or jerk anyday - for one thing since his seed is further spread.

I do not want to be a woman, I want the choices women have.

I want to determine my own reproduction.

I want to see what it feels like to be the other sex for a day, a week, a month, to better understand people and to better understand the world.

I am a scientist at heart and a maverick.

I do like being a guy despite my vocal protestations about gender and men and women. I am very creative and driven, and ambitious, all things that seem to come hard to most women. I like that I still will have power and pull at an age when many women will be long over the hill. I would not like dealing with doilies and makeup and fashionable purses and other crap like that.

But, I do not like being a guy trapped in narrow gender confines. I do not like being told by feminists that, yes, we men can have all the options women have, then have the door repeatedly slammed in my face by those same feminists when I merely ask.

I could go on, but you get my point.

Most average or slightly better than average girls DO look at men for their money earning potential and their social status.

    This is just reality.

Everyone always claims they know what I mean when I say a better woman. I merely mean someone who will not bore me because she has an actual inner life, who has some decency and standards (isn't a pot head, but enjoys an occasional toke), someone who is not a workaholic, feminist know-it-all stooge, or other misanthrope (leave the misanthropy to me), someone who is not necessarily a looker, but put her in some heels and a dress and she is passable in public.

It is all too much to ask and too much to bear to bother for me anymore.

One renter in my house, she has my master bedroom now that I am in Houston, would be perfect with me, we are both similar in many ways, she once married a lying but hot looking man who bore her a kid. She could not stand the lies and abuse and cheating so she divorced him. Now she is looking for another tall dark and handsome hunk, no other men do it for her, she claims. OK, so she is one of what, 40 MILLION women looking for the few thousand hunks who are still available and who are decent and honest? Hey, it is her life.

whenever I get accused of wanting too much in a woman, all I have to do is think of the latest girl next to me and her impossible search for Mr. Perfect and how my small requests for these things in a woman are nothing compared to the crazy shit women think they can dredge up and tie to their bedpost.

And I cannot help but think how much more fulfilling my life would be if only I was able to be one of those slick lying Casanovas instead of honest old me.

get to know a girl first. Then she can call you her friend.

We guys cannot win to save our lives. Really, it might be time to move to another culture that does not despise love and sex and romance so much.

Are the women just not able to figure out which guys are for real and which guys are just players? You would think 4 billion years of evolution would have taught women something.

My guess is that women willingly play into players hands when they are younger (because the players are cute, charming, hot), then they forget to discern after that or are too bitter to bother. I suppose if most guys are desperate to hook up around you, you pretty sooon forget what a real guy who is not playing is like. Or maybe women have a category they put guys into- the category of those guys who are not playing is the same category of "he is not interested in me" or "he is a friend".

sad all around. But from what I hear, books like the Game are putting women into their shells further.

Hey, here is a novel approach. WHY DON'T YOU WOMEN MAKE THE MOVES ON US MEN WHO YOU REALLY WANT! It is player proof. Too much to ask in this age of so called equality. what feminism has wrought...

to label someone who is sick as having an extreme male brain.

really, in the New York Times? I wonder why I spend even a dollar on such man hating bullshit.

it is SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE for women to lay blame on anyone or anything but themselves for a whole slew of things done by women.

Cheating on her husband? It must be because he is not pleasing her. It is never that she is a lying scheming woman.

Husband cheat on her? Must be because he is a lying schemer, or because he was seduced by another woman. It is NEVER that wife is not putting out or is frigid.

Boil the kids in a locked car? Must be because husband was abusing her. It is not because the mom is sick or murderous or irresponsible.

Get leered at by men? Must be because men are dogs. It is never that her tits hang out to here and she is dolled up for who-knows-what reason. (men are not supposed to have libidos unless permitted so by their women-- on command too)

You get my point. I am merely opening up the possibility of evening things out between the sexes.
