Feminism
[Read the article: The art of the pickup]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]has also made good men painfully aware that there is no longer a need or a market for genuine, substantive, honest men with integrity.
Unless of course it is to help raise the bastard children of the asshole men who took off.

I am glad to see feminists admit
[Read the article: Female execs dominate in Philippines]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]that every man planning to become an executive or who is one needs a stay at home wife after all, despite what they said for decades.
In other words, some Filipinas have what every executive needs: a wife.

My big post to Melthough
[Read the article: Is a sex change operation liberating or mutilating?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]got lost to the ether.
but my short version point is I lived in Austin, basically a Commie City and before that CT and NYC both lib centers.
most people I have known, and I have known many, are left of center to center.
I merely report my observations of their attitudes.
There was more to the point, but if I can't remember it now, it probably wasn;t worth stating

Ben is Good, but not THAT good.
[Read the article: The art of the pickup]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Because Ben Dover exists and you are becoming like him.
Did it ever occur to you that Dover is just the kind of guy who would tell you to "Be a man!" The Dovers of the world have little sympathy for guys like you. I suspect you admire the persona he presents. Why do you?
You call yourself a sensitive guy but Dover is the epitome of insenstivity. He is the kind of user you say women should not fall for. They should prefer you instead.
In another thread, you said, "Ben is good." What did you mean by that? Just how is Ben "good" when he seems to be everything you should despise?
I do not read much of Dover's work, but I surmise he is an alpha male. I like money, I like success, it seems vital to get at the better women out there to have these things.
Sensitivity seems to be something that is frosting on the cake for women, the cake consisting of generic asshole male underneath.
I hate that this is so, and I am learning to sublimate my instint to be decent around women. But face it, most women dismiss men within seconds as worthy of their time. If you do not act like you 'own' the room you are nothing in most women's eyes.
I hate this also because I am not an actor, I cannot just take a persona off the shelf to use to get what I need of women.
But I am realizing it is hard to reprogram eons of genetics. women choose jerks for a reason.
When I said Ben was good, I meant that he understood gender relations and that men need to change things. I can understand why you might misunderstand me on this though. I have a grudging respect for him, if only because he seems successful and able to get what he needs from life, love, work. But this is a concession to the reality of gender relations, nothing more.

Great cartoon
[Read the article: Opus]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I love such perspectives,
but my question is, if my parents never had sex that night, would I have EVER been born? Would I have been born to another couple? On another planet??

Halley
[Read the article: A man's right to choose in Ohio]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and all the other who posit this ludicrous argument.
women always claim that because their 'ass' is more on the line in pregnancy than the man, that therefore naturally the women should have more say about the pregnancy.
THis of course is bullshit.
For one, the man is on the line for 18 years too.
Second, and this is my primary argument, men have more on the line when it comes to protecting the country from foreign enemies, does it then follow that men should benefit and be making the rules more than women becaue they have more to lose potentially? This would place women in SECOND CLASS CITIZEN status, something I support unless and until women decide to open up TRUE equality to the fathers of their kids, where the fathers get equal say to the mothers.
Women as SECOND CLASS CITIZENS is equal to fathers the way they are being treated by you women today.
There is a fairness to it.

The previous poster
[Read the article: The artful seducer]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]is onto something. It is probably the height thing as much as anything for this guy. Also, I think in LA this look is not so unusual, City of Freaks.
But time for me to consider getting some sort of male height enhancement, I may be 5'11-1/2", but 6'2" would be MUCH better.

There you have it Chris
[Read the article: The artful seducer]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]no woman ever punished a guy for agreeing with her, even if he doesn't mean a word he says but is doing it only to remain in her good graces (bed)

For most women
[Read the article: The artful seducer]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think this one thing holds true, even if she wants you for marriage, she will not respect you or consider you the right material unless she suspects deep down that you COULD get laid anytime, that you DO have the skills to seduce. Sure, she might still marry you, but she will know who really is in charge-- clue: not he.
Thus many men are left out of both one night stands and out of meaningful long term relationships by not knowing this stuff.

Funny
[Read the article: The artful seducer]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]how lots of men prefer a down to earth girl who does not dress to impress, wears no makeup. Sure, eye candy, makeup, heels impresses, and dumb guys and guys looking for a one night stand will go for it. But most guys prefer a low maintenance girl.
women, on the other hand, seem to prefer an interesting 'act' over a down to earth unpolished guy. Maybe it is about the guy being a good liar, therefore good in business (a good provider).
