I took female hormones for three weeks recently just to experience what direction my internal experience would go in, I would have gone longer with the hormones, but I did not want to screw up my fertility. The interesting thing was, reproportioning your testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone yields almost an immediate feeling of being in the body of the opposite sex, something I thought required months of hormones. At least the psychological trajectory your hormones might take you on is immediately apparent. But I am sure the experience is still different than having full on hormones all the time for years.

but my point is there is a reason boys choose to WANT to be girls at five times the rate as girls choosing to want to be boys.

so why are men NOT granted the full range of choices in life in how much male or female they express? Why are men forced into strange operations to mutilate their genitalia when anyone who experiments with sex and gender roles knows you can feel sexually fully masculine or feminine merely by willing it?

it is largely because men cannot be treated by women as anything OTHER than men. They cannot be treated as HUMANS.

on the other hand, women do not get the same ghettoization of gender. Men and women largely treat women based on the cues they get from the women's clothing and attitude. If a girl is girly, she is treated as such, if butch, she is treated as such. A man is either a man or (supposedly) LESS THAN a man.

It totally SUCKS in my opinion.
