While I agree the whole accusation may be heavy handed and obtuse
[Read the article: Women to blame for global warming?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]the accusation that women are largely responsible for why CFLs are not used is an exaggeration. (are the pigs flying yet? has Brightstar gone berzerk?!?)
WITNESS!
1. I do not like CFLs and I am a guy. I think fluorescent light stinks. I can't wait for LEDs to go mainstream but that may take a decade. So this is not necessarily a gender issue.
2. The two renters in my house shoving CFLs into every socket were a woman and a man, but they wanted to pay less for electricity.
BUT!
1. I do think the role women play in society in this and other matters is often discounted or denigrated, to the detriment of society, women's and men's trust of each other, and other factors. Most men KNOW in their hearts who runs the household despite what women FALSELY keep claiming.
Men and women both breather air, eat, shit and do everything that all humans do, yet women seem to keep wanting to crawl under rocks whenever RESPONSIBILITY or CONSEQUENCE are brought up. Doesn't say much for women to be this dodgy, shallow and irresponsible. I guess femminism never taught women to take responsibility for themselves, preferring to AS USUAL lay blame at the feet of men.
2. I wonder why women feel everything always needs to be spun to put them in a positive light. Are women's egos THAT fragile that they cannot accept that they do things imperfectly, wrongheadedly, or even, GASP!, with potentially negative consequences for the planet and life as we know it?
I chalk this Broadsheet article up as a maybe, not positive or negative.

Brightstar knows not of a ?? ??
[Read the article: Women to blame for global warming?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]What if ガガ ガガ ガガ is really Brightstar with a new unpronouncable moniker? After all, I haven't seen him write in much lately. They both have the same irrational, knee-jerk whine about virtually anything in Broadsheet. It's kind of like when Prince preferred to use a symbol and was called "the artist formerly known as Prince." I guess in this situation we could say: ガガ ガガ ガガ , the troll artist formerly known as Brightstar, hell, maybe Ben Dover, Brightstar, Parson Jim, and ガガ ガガ ガガ are all the same! It would give me hope to think that it's all the pathetic work of one contrarian and not more.
I have been busy getting a big, time demanding house prepped to put on the market (so I can HOPEFULLY get the hell out of this sick and declining, but once great, 'has been' of a country)
Also, frankly, Broadsheet has become more sober and the feminist exaggerations, man baiting, and outright lies have not been showing up as often in the articles, which makes my job shooting fish in barrels that much more difficult (I have to actually think through issues in detail to respond responsibly, rather than being able to post [equally] semi irresponsible counter-screeds to that which Broadsheet is posting)
And I needed to call out that if I was one of the first, there is now a growing legion of men and, increasingly, women who understand what men are being subjected to by feminists, posting comments that resemble mine. Seems people are realizing men are humans too, with human needs, and that men are sick of being treated like effluent by feminism.
I rejoice that so many men are [finally] gaining their cojones and not just ignoring feminist screeds but actually posting cogent responses (though these men may be falsely labeled 'trolls' by those who would rather that men kept their mouths shut and just took women's shit like the good slaves that men are).
Gee maybe we can YET work this equality thing out, BOTH WAYS, huh?

OUCH
[Read the article: Women to blame for global warming?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This is the first datapoint about Wesley himself I have ever heard, prior to this only having known about the hyper-liberal namesake university in Middletown CT. (incidentally, where we shot a short film on that campus in the 80s)

THIS NEWS IS A HALF DECADE LATE
[Read the article: The right's explicit and candid rejection of "the rule of law"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and $8 trillion dollars short. Where was the media in 2001 when Police State Bush was implementing the Patriot Act? Oh, that's right, the media is owned by people who think the USA should be a Fascist nation with not rights for peons, I mean, citizens. Fro those who think I lean Democrap, Clinton was not much better by the way.

BETCHA if the genders were reversed
[Read the article: My husband read my journal]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]she would be dragging him to divorce court. Scientists have figured out that women are less forgiving and never forget.

You know how women claim they control their bodies and therefore determine if a child lives?
[Read the article: Northern exposure]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]How come women never apply this equally to MEN? Seems women control their bodies and let society control men's bodies. How is this fair? Is this the new fourth or fifth wave 'feminism'?

Are you saying they are macho
[Read the article: Make room for Daddy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]because they want to be? Or are they macho because it is demanded of them?
The difference is huge.
The former implies they CHOOSE to be macho, therefore in feminists minds, seeing this going on, this behavior justifies their own selfish behavior.
In the latter, the men act macho because it is demanded of them, therefore they are not doing as they want, but are merely serving the demands of the market.
I ask this because I have noticed women seem to pick on men for things like being macho on the one hand, but then the women only chase the macho men and only consider macho men to be REAL MEN and therefore candidates for dating or marriage or sex. It is a FAUX choice on the part of the men, they are compelled to it by the demands of women and the market.
It is similar to what women would do to serve men's demands if the women wore hoochie outfits and jiggled. Men are still stuck in JIGGLE MODE.
This distinction is important and one that is deliberately overlooked by feminists because it would demolish one of their key arguments for how they behave and what sort of choices they avail themselves of AT THE EXPENSE OF SOCIETY AND OF MEN.
