Both men and women are complicated sexual creatures. Men are ENCOURAGED to maintain as simple a facade as possible, women are encouraged to maintain as complicated a facade as possible.

Some verities:

- Just because someone may be attracted physically to someone else, even of the same sex, does not mean they want to have sex with that person.

- Sex is not just intercourse, but also all that leads to it. In women and men both, it is sensual. In women, it may be a passing breeze that turns her on- tactile. In men, it may be a sudden sighting of a woman- visual. But BOTH sexes cross over nearly completely in this regard, (men tactile, women visual), just that one is preferable over the other, depending on the prejudices of what people expect of each sex.

I see it all, men vs women and arousal, as an intertwined DNA strand of sorts, where each iteration or level or incidence or opportunity where a person may get turned on is a tiny baby step from what the other sex may experience with some minor translation or interpretation or change of perspective.

So when someone says men get turned on by looking at attractive women. it is not that simple, men look at women's faces FIRST according to research, not on their bodies. Women, on the other hand, DO look at the body first. You can see the old tropes turned on their head here. It seems to be the rule of sexuality that there IS no hard and fast, just nuance in the end.

This nuance and subtle twist may be the key to why gen after gen, for four billion years, animals keep keeping on, it (sexual inner expectation and possibility and will) is all a series of tiny slippery slopes around a multi dimensional kaleidoscopic merry go round.
