I agree with JanaNYC.

It's all too complex. We have too many enemies: Iran, Pakistan, Russia, North Korea, Venezuela, etc. One just doesn't know if Obama's the anti-Christ. And hey, hey, hey, not even the experts know why Wall Street is crumbling.

So, the Republicans pick someone with all the answers. After all, she has THE book, which even tells her how old the Earth is and just never you mind that pesky science. And she sent her son off to kill some ragheads, so that must be okay. And since she's a former beauty contest contestant, that takes us back to them good ol' days before millions of Americans lost their homes and the dollar lost its value.

It's time to learn the placement of commas, boy.

And it's off to Iraq for you! Don't you want to fight the GLOBAL War of Terror, Bush voter? Oh, glorious, glorious war! Oh, our beloved Oceania! War is peace!!!! Big Brother loves all of us!!!!!!!

Iraq.

Enlist.

Now.

You voted for war, Bush voter. Now fight that 100-year war, McCain voter.

I wish you'd gotten ready for commas, dude. That proven correlation between education and liberalism can be seen in these threads. The higher one's education, the more likely one is to vote for a liberal, which brings me back to Palin. The Republican Party understands that many of its members lack elite intellects.* So, they offer someone like Palin, who can see Russia and is therefore an expert on foreign affairs.**

* Elite intellects aren't just good. They're absolutely necessary to undo the damage that Bush and Bush voters have done to America.

** I wonder if Palin has ever even seen Russia or if she was speaking hypothetically.

@ Abbywood

I think only the craziest Christianists would launch the nuclear warheads. Most of them do everything they can to delay meeting Jesus. How many patients in hospitals allege belief, yet, subject themselves to atrociously pricey and frequently painful procedures to delay death? That they do suggests deep doubt. Thus, Palin and her ilk, those who rush to docs to delay meeting Jesus, likely lack full faith. However, she has suggested to us that she's war loving. She raised a war loving son and has suggested war with Russia.

I agree with your modification of my assertion, Mr. Dworkin. Millions of Bush voters have shown a willingness to let others die, as has Bush. However, to launch the warheads is to invite retaliation. MAD* is still in effect, although it's likely that Palin thinks MAD is Mothers Against Drunks.

* mutual assured destruction

What should be said is that someone who shoots an extravagently horned cow with a high-powered rifle is a coward for there's no contest. However, if elected, her cowardice will deepen, for she'll likely "hunt" as Dick Cheney does, shooting animals kicked and tossed from cages. Ann Coulter said that the Earth is ours to rape. I assume that Palin is a fan of Ann.

Ms. Price, I wish you wouldn't use the term, "pro-life."

So many consider themselves pro-life and yet voted for Bush and will vote for McCain, which is a vote for the mass murdering known as war and the formalized murder that we call executions.

Now, can one be anti-abortion and a feminist? Yeah, I think so, as long as one doesn't have to stand before a bleeding, dying woman who's clutching a coat hanger. It's a hypothetical pairing, I think.

I pity all of us if enough of us vote for McCain/Palin.

I wish I could say, as our country dies, "Forgive them, Father, they knew not what they were doing."

But McCain voters voted for Bush and Wall Street is collapsing as we're mired in two foreign wars. So, McCain voters do know what they're doing in voting for McSame and if McSame wins, the rest of us will suffer for the neocons' sins.

And as we suffer, I won't have any "Forgive them, Father..." in me.

Regarding the ranter, jcrowdered, you must admit that "reporterettes" is quaint. Some minds age gracefully. Others just molder. His is the latter.

@ hyblaean

If you're going to vote for Palin because of her, errr, crotch, do you then not believe that gender is a social construct? Do you believe, as Palin does, I'm sure, that men and women are deeply different?

Or if you do believe that gender is a feminist construct, I assure you that Palin is socially constructed differently than you. You might vote for her because of her crotch, but she won't vote for your interests. You're an icky dyke to her. To her First Dude, you're likely masturbation fodder.

I come and go, depending upon whether I'm on the road. And sometimes when I'm home, I'm too tired to join a quarrelsome thread. I only like to tussle when I'm rested and when my opponent doesn't provoke pity.

Anyway, I agree with what cacrawford99 wrote.

And I also agree that nature matters much. However, I think that Brad Pitt, with his hairy balls and beefy back, has more in common with you than Palin. Palin is of a congregation that believes in reprogramming camps. If she could, she'd have you sent to a camp where they'd forbid you from cutting your hair. You'd have to wear skirts and makeup. You'd be kept from tete-a-tetes with other women. And they'd try to indoctrinate you into marrying and dutifully spreading your legs for your husband. This is not hyperbole. The Christian right runs such camps. However, Brad Pitt, with his man breath, would use that breath to honor you as you are. He would welcome you and your partner into his home. He would nurture you. Truly, nurture trumps nature. Brad Pitt and Obama have much more in common with you than Palin, who would keep you from your partner's bedside, legalize housing discrimination against you, and deny you workplace protections. Palin is your enemy. Please don't be seduced by her vagina. Ever heard of vagina dentata? That's Palin.
