Original article: Disappointed by Rick Warren

Sold out already? I'm not surprised...

Warren is simply the latest in a long, long, long line of charlatans who've used religion to advance a personal agenda by capitalizing on the disheartening tendency of Americans to not ask questions about any subject they don't grasp...and he's a fat slob with way too much hairspray on his head.

I found it galling that Obama would suggest that nonsense about disagreeing without being disagreeable. I'd have appreciated it had he shown more spine and told everyone it's his party and to shut-the-hell-up.

That being said, Jim Wallis of Sojourners would have been a much better choice.

It's not Andre, he's a nonentity.

SC Senate Pro Tem Glenn McConnell (R-Charleston) is the most powerful legislator in the SC General Assembly. Should Sanford resign, then McConnell would be required by the state constitution to succeed Bauer as lieutenant governor. Something McConnel has zero intention of doing. McConnell has had his hands full w/ his "family values" colleagues since this nonsense got started trying to keep his Republicans together.

As for the Sanfords? Who cares... they're Christianists, not Christians. After today's display, I'll be surprised if she keeps those ill-mannered brats in the Palmetto State one more minute-leverage being what it is.
