Slightly OT

ABC News is being asked many sharp and reasonable questions about its coverage of the 9/11 anthrax attacks, and especially about Brian Ross's promotion of the bentonite story: http://tinyurl.com/62lqel So far, nothing but stonewalling and a dead silence in response. Contemptible. The era of the MSM cannot end too soon. Perhaps the Internet will restore the Fourth Estate. --seanmcbride

This is just another reason we need to turn our resources on the MSM vs "bad" democrats. Certainly both are deserving, but more and more, it's the MSM which has the closest contact and the most impact on our citizenry. 1,000 media skeptics + infusion of funds used wisely = 10,000 media skeptics. And so on until advertisers start running away, media revenue drops, and then all of a sudden, they find their "guts" to do real journalism and investigation again.

Of course I'm oversimplifying for brevity's sake, but you get the idea.

Bringing up her drunk driving record? You're purposefully undermining her character with unrelated information. Shame on you, Glenn.

Character issues are regularly and routinely brought up in court cases of every kind. They help to establish and explain patterns of behavior.

On a more sinister level, it is not at all unreasonable to believe that "the fix was in," meaning someone paid her to make these accusations in order to bolster the FBI's case and get it dismissed by the media and closed more quickly. If people believe the guy was a psycho, then it's a mere baby step to believe he was guilty, whether or not that was actually the case.

Don't believe that happens? Ha! Think again. Duley who may be of questionable moral character given her past record, gladly accepts some generous hush money in exchange for embellishing her story. Case gets closed. Everybody on the gov't side of things is happy. Cover-up complete.

Not at all hard to imagine.

Nice and neat wrap up

Welp, according to the CBS evening news, this case is C_L_O_S_E_D. They wrapped it all up nicely, blamed Ivins for everything, showed pics of the 5 victims, and said this case will be closed.

Now I'm having to sit through 5 minutes of Obama bashing.

God I wish we could fire them all. Pathetic.

@Kitt

Kitt, I for one very MUCH appreciated your link to tinyurl.com because I had no idea what it meant, but had been seeing it for a long time. It will make it much easier for me to send links to my friends now, not that they ever really follow them. heh.

@voodooz

Until we find out the truth a little rigorous interrogation is in order at the top of the food chain at ABC.

That would be a new oxymoron to add to the list, kinda like "intrepid journalist" and such.

It's time to declare war on the MSM.

Anthrax vs Military Analyst Shills

Glenn,

May I suggest that if you go after this story with teeth bared, that we do some analysis about how to get better coverage/answers than we did with the Military Analyst scandal. I believed that to be an utter outrage and dereliction of duty by the MSM, as well as patent illegality inside BushCo, but our efforts to expose this did not yield any meaningful arrests, changes or answers (IMO).

Maybe it is the time, and maybe this IS the story to call in some favors and get to those sources like you said. I don't know. Is this the thread which might open the floodgates to much more, or is it something not worth using a lot of capital just to wind up hearing more indistinguishable, muffled sounds on a dead end road?

One more thing.....

How much do you want to bet there is absolutely NO in-depth reporting into the actual circumstances surrounding the suicide. I'd be willing to be my paycheck there is NOTHING reported beyond the fact that "he committed suicide, end of story."

This story really highlights my call to point our financial sources to marginalizing the MSM. They are one of the pre-imminent destructive forces of this country.

BTW, isn't in interesting that.....

....as the MSM is reporting all about this right now, NONE of them are talking about the obvious link that the Anthrax attacks came from the same place they were "linked" to Iraq. How is it possible that not a single reporter in all of the MSM will pick up on this and run with it? Do they all make $1,000,000+ per year and are compromised by their paychecks?

Glenn, give us some good email addresses:

Let's get an email campaign going. Who are the decision-makers inside ABC news? Give us the email addys and we can begin hounding them for some answers.
