Darn, I like and respect Hillary Clinton, but...

She blew it again by saying she hadn’t read the speech. Why not admit she read or listened to it? Her comment comes across very as a lie because she would be an idiot not to have read or listened to the speech before commenting on it, and she is no idiot. Heck, that's what Bill Kristol did (he, by the way, is an idiot)!

I know the right wing media machine and corporate media are hammering her mercilessly, but sometimes I think she is her own worse enemy.

Original article: The best-laid plans

@Salon

Enough is enough!

Its bad enough that the same old articles are routinely shuffled around on the website to.... I don't know.. trick people into thinking there is fresh content.

But now we have to wade through this kind of fluff?? What kind of magazine is Salon going to be?? Your credibility is slipping and junk like this does not help.

If you are going to be a serious news and politics online mag you should work on being that.

This is just lame.

Let's see now...

"More than half of the women believe society is turning them into "hairy and obese lesbians."

Fifty-two percent say they are forced to live by men's rules.

Four out of 10 women are scared of snakes, while a third are scared of "bossy hairy men."

Many women feel they have to play too many roles."

Boy, whoever wrote that must be an idiot...

For my own part I'm afraid of bears.

This tidbit of gossip, if you believe it, says more about Edwards than it does about Obama

First of all this is all a bunch of lightweight gossip from an unknown, unnamed "party insider" whatever the hell that means... I worked at the polls once, am I an insider? I guess I am.

So this unnamed insider says that this article indicates to me that:

a.) Edwards wants the candidate he endorses to kiss his ass, Oboma won't, Clinton will.

b.) If Hillary stroked Edward's ego with a good shoe licking while Obama wouldn't... why hasn't he endorsed Clinton. This is still a defacto endorsement of Obama.

c.) Edwards is a weenie that puts himself and his own lame ego ahead of what's best for America.

d.) This article has not changed this Party Insider's choice for president, but it did make me lower my opinion of Edwards a few pegs.

Now Joan, watch out or this "party insider" just might say a few things about you off the record. I'll be waiting for your personal reply and I don't want any of that glib or aloof crap! I want respect! Or I'm going to say bad things about you too.

Best Regards,

the Party Insider.

Original article: This Modern World

I dream of a world...

...where Tom Tomorrow actually has to make a scenario up to be hilarious and maddening at the same time instead of just drawing a cartoon version of real events.

Man, I used to Love Bill Clinton because he did a great job at what we elected him to do... but WTF... will you destroy the your party and by proxy the whole country just to keep Hillary happy?

Original article: Buff up your brain

Do you really want to shuffle off this mortal coil fully conscious?

or would you rather be wacked out of your mind?? That's natures way.

Free and legal drugs of any type for anyone living in an old folk's home and who has retired his or her's drivers license.

Can we just get a competent Administration in place

And send these bastards to prison where they belong. Geeez, they're so freak'n guilty of multiple and serious crimes against America that even Gonzo wouldn't loose a single case.... too bad he will be one of the first sent to the can.

I cannot wait to see the tearful bullshit come rolling out of their pie holes.

Oh, think I'm an angry democrat... well you're partially right, I'm a batshit angry American and these people are going to pay for wiping their asses with the US constitution and driving the country to the brink.

@jfriesen

1. Government under the control of a nation's worst or least-qualified citizens."

No attempt at a deep analysis

How true, and I like Bill.

How many times does it have to pointed out to the Salon writers(edited)

The newly registered Democrats are repubs trying to prolong the Democratic primary by voting for the candidate trailing in the race.

They will not be voting for a Democrat in the General Election.

(Changing parties to cause this type of mischief is a felony in some states indecently, but then again respect for the law has never really held the repubs back before).

Original article: Can you hide slutty eyes?

Doesn't this sort of thing...

Belong on some teenager's myspace page???

Is this what salon is becoming???

Joan, this is lame.

Trivial not Tough

Usually I don't like to have to point out the obvious but here goes.

These are trivial questions:

-Why don't you where a flag lapel pin?

-Do you think your reverend loves America as much as you? (or some such nonsense)

-Why did you hurt the feelings of unemployed steel workers by saying they are bitter?

These are tough questions:

What will your policy be concerning torturing detainees?

How far should the gov. go in spying on Americans and how should it be policed?

What is the best possible outcome in Iraq?

How do we get there?

What caused the housing market to fail?

What can be done to prevent a repeat?

Should the US military be outsourced to private armies?

etc.
