There is no "War on terror"!

There never has been. Its just a slogan the Bushies have used to intimidate their opponents and greatly overreach their powers. (Tyrants they used to call them).

The only real, legit sensible and just objective since 9/11 has been bringing Osama Bin laden and his henchmen to justice. The one thing Bush and his henchmen have been sure to avoid. Without their boogieman they can't have their fake war.

The rest is just a waste of lives and treasure pursuing a lie invented by the Bush/Cheney hanta.

There is no reason to be in Iraq, there never has been. There is only one reason to be in Afghanistan... bringing Bin laden to justice.

It takes two to tango and with Bush and his right wing henchmen out of power (and hopefully in jail) the fake Islamic/Christian "they hate us because of our freedom" lie will be rejected with the ridicule it deserves.

Obama is absolutely correct to state that we will go after Bin laden when the opportunity presents itself. Even after eight years of corruption, distraction and incompetence from Bush Bin laden is still free and this nightmare cannot end until he is dealt with.

I didn't even read the article

after reading the headline.

I don't care if you have film of Bush Fu%$ing the corps of Abraham Lincoln on a pile of dead babies while wearing a nazi/french maid outfit (I hear this is Larry Craig's ultimate fantasy though).

Congress and the media have to have the will and stomach to go after Bush! They have proven they do not.

As American voters our work is just starting. Just getting rid of the repuglicans that have been ruining the country is just a start. If we get do nothing Democrats in their place we are way short of where we need to be to repair the damage the right wing has wrought on this country.

Vote the bastards out if they don't prosecute these criminals.

(P.S. eggplant man and other repuglicans, that does not mean vote for repugs, it means better Democrats. The repuglican party has finally collapsed from internal rot... and the stench is sickening.)

@ Elephantman

"Did that speech mean that Obama would want greater NATO- member combat force commitments in Agfhanistan?

That's about the closest thing to "substance" I could glean from the speech...

Almost makes me want to vote for the guy... Naaah."

---elephantman.

Elephantman,

Just wondering.... are you really an American? I mean from your comments and the positions you always take no matter the topic I'd think you were a Milosivich follower hold up in some basement in Serbia.

(or some republican sound-bite generator running on an old 386 in Chaney's basement hideout.)

I'm not the first or will I be the last to say this

but this whole Hillary thing for Vice President is a manufactured wet dream by the right-wing.

1.) Just because many think (including myself) that Hillary would have made a fine chief exec that does not mean by any stretch that she would be a good choice for V-President... for this Presidential candidate.

2.) The only reason Hillary would be interested in VP is as a spring board to president. It remains to be seen if a high profile congressional career wouldn't accomplish that goal just as well. (or better)

3.) There are many, many choices for VP that would do a much better job of complementing Obama than HRC. If Hillary were the candidate for pres Obama would not be a good choice for her VP either. Both would need a southern vote getter with strong defense and foreign policy background (God! I though Jim Webb would have been a great choice for either one... but alas). (Ironically a good choice for VP for Obama would most likely bee a good choice for Hillary's VP because that person would shore up both of their short comings and hopefully not upstage the party's nominee for president)

@mylittleswastica

Oh no you don't!

My dog just finished the paperwork, proven on four cognitive tests that she is smarter than W and wears a flag pin on her collar at all times.

Why with a running start she can jump off my back 10 feet in the air and land in my wife's arms.

My dog is getting that spot! If she doesn't I heard her growl that she would take her supporters and vote McCain!

PS( I hear you're dog is a real bitch!)

Kaine????

I don't think he's a terrible choice (the top of ticket is what counts and Obama is by far the best choice in this race).

But WOW, I mean WOW... there are a lot of better choices for a lot of different reasons.

Webb being my favorite, but unfortunately Webb is taking my calls ; )
