i haven't read anything you've written for the past 20 yrs. because i decided to divorce myself from the feminist movement because i could not see beyond gloria steinem and the devotion to hard left policies.
i admit i read this article because of my relentless search for information about sarah palin. i prepared myself for the anger, hostility and malice i would consume from another liberal ranting feminist.
i apologize for prejudging and wish to thank you for what i consider to be a very balanced piece (if somewhat biased against the value of someone like john mccain just because he does not present well.) and hopeful that someone in the upper echelons of feminism might understand that it is a women's movement for the advancement of women and that it should include and encourage and be supportive of all women that advance against the odds.
thank you.
she was baptized a catholic before moving to wasilla and in order to judge the influence on her life you would have to go back and examine what was being preached when she attended that church since she hasn't been a member for sometime.
trust is a major issue with most people when selecting a president...even more so in times like these.
everytime someone, from sen. obama's camp or the news media or a liberal blogger derides the republican party leaders with sneering intellectual superiority rather than balanced disagreement with policy it enforces the masses to believe that is the way you feel about them and to bond more completely with the republican party. we, the masses, have been told for the past two years that questions about sen. obama was off limits as far as his background, his race, his affiliations and his experience and focus was to be on his charismatic PERSONALITY and his ability to present a speech...we're in love with him and you should be too! okay. that's your opinion and you're entitled to it BUT, so are we.
